The Alpha Medical provider told me that a medication I was prescribed would take effect immediately, but all the reputable scientific sources say it will take at least 2 weeks. Alpha does not have any options to help reduce anxiety immediately while longer term solutions ramp up. UPDATED (after Alpha response) I wanted to add a little more detail about my experience, after Alpha's customer service made the original experience look insignificantly bad in comparison. My provider gave me a bunch of links to things to read on the internet and everything she wrote to me was so general that it seemed like it was copy pasted from an internal template. She asked me to read a bunch of articles on different forms of anxiety from government sources and just shared links. I never ended up taking the medicine she prescribed. Instead, I tried one of Alpha's competitors. I spoke to a real human within 20 minutes, who prescribed an anxiety drug that isn't a controlled substance and worked immediately. I got it from my local pharmacy instead of having to wait for it to be mailed to me, but I could get future shipments by mail to save money. I also got real, personalized options for long-term care. Incidentally, I paid less than I did for Alpha's inaccurate and non-personalized recommendations. However, my nightmare was only beginning. I reached out to the Alpha care team immediately after discovering the provider was wrong about the medication they prescribed to request a refund. I also asked that Alpha delete my account information. It took the customer service team over two days to respond to me the first time. It took multiple exchanges to get a partial refund ($15 of $80), and they refused to delete my account, but they said they would cancel my subscription. Then, weeks later, I get a notification from Alpha for an anxiety med shipment. It turns out their customer service rep didn't actually cancel my account, even though I asked multiple times and they assured me it was done. Alpha's competitor significantly reduced my anxiety in less time than it took their customer service team to process a cancelation. My biggest regret is that they still have my medical information and refuse to delete it, even though their provider gave me inaccurate information and I never really used their services. Please avoid my mistakes and look for an Alpha alternative.
