From the first time I visited this site it was easy to navigate and find what I was looking for. I received my orders very quickly and would recommend them to anyone!

My experience with Hinterland was horrible. I ordered a HOWA 1500 on 2/12/2021. The items showed IN STOCK. Of course, they took the money at checkout (expected). A week later, I Email customer support and they state that everything is great and that they will be shipping the item shortly. Another week passes by - I Email them AGAIN and they stated the same exact thing - this time stating that it should ship in a day or two. On 3/2/2021 - I get an Email from them stating that the Rifle I had ordered was the last one but upon checking it - it was damaged and that they would credit my account. They DID credit my account 3 days later (on 3/5/2021). In essence, they kept my money for 23 days and cancelled the order. That is my experience with Hinterland Outfitters. I gave them a 1 star rating because I could not give a Zero star. Merchants states that they didn't want to ship out a defective unit. It took them 3 WEEKS to figure out that the unit was defective??? May I suggest that when you RECEIVE your inventory that you check it at POINT OF RECEIPT - not make the client wait 3 weeks - hold their money - and then cancel the order and credit it. Your processes are inverted. And why did it take 3 WEEKS to figure out that the item was damaged? Shouldn't that have been discovered from DAY One or Day 2? I am not buying the explanation!

Hi Pierre, Thanks so much for the feedback, and we're certainly sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience. We do inspect all firearms prior to shipment for quality control, and as we indicated to you, the firearm reserved for your order was discovered to be damaged and not in a condition to ship out. We certainly did not want to send you out a damaged firearm, which we suspect would have made for an even less pleasant experience for you. We do our best to make sure that never happens. Since this was unfortunately our only one of these left in stock, you were refunded in full on that same day. Refunds of course take a few business days to process through the banking system before they will post to your account - this time period is determined entirely by the banking system and your card issuer. It's usually just a matter of 2-3 business days. We do apologize again for the damaged firearm and unfortunate order cancellation, and please do let us know if we can help with anything else in the future.

Bought one revolver shipped to local FFL and everything went as expected, so I bought another (same model) two weeks later shipped to local FFL and everything went as expected. It took five business days for each item to ship by USPS and a couple days in USPS system. Would prefer UPS or FEDEX which seem to be more reliable. Not sure if the $500 items would be covered against loss in USPS system, or if there was an option($) to purchase additional insurance.

Where the sights i received are a really decent night sight, when I was making my order I searched tritium sights and was lead to your store where in the page all by itself was pictured a genuine set of tritium sights for a great price, I guess that's where I should have been suspicious because what I received was certainly not tritium sights they were in fact just a set of glow in the dark after you charge them night sights, the main reason I was looking for tritium was for the mere fact who has time to charge they're sight in a dark emergency type situation, I guess I'll just have to tell whomever is trying to hurt my family or myself "hold on just a minute gotta charge my sights first" long story short bad case of bait and switch sell what you're advertising cause down the line someone will have you in court over that.

Hi Jim, Thanks for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear that you had an issue with the item that you ordered! If you received an incorrect product, it would of course have been due to an honest mistake in a product listing, and certainly was not a purposeful "bait and switch". While we strive to maintain accurate product descriptions, photos, and specifications on our website, we do carry over 60,000 products, and product description errors may occur occasionally. We do have a return policy in place that would allow you to return the incorrect item at no cost to you for exchange or refund. Please contact us directly and we'll be glad to look into the order for you and/or send you a return authorization. We do apologize if an error was made on our part and for any inconvenience that you have experienced.
