It was good doing what it was designed to do: recording on the go and portability. A little inconvenience there of having to plug in the usb cable to the phone for recording with the backing track. The other noticable point is the ergonomics of the iem's (i.e. they fit snugly in the mic and are harder to take out while not fitting snugly in the ears!). Otherwise, good job.

the sound quality is not what I expect. Rode NT USB+ sounded better for less money

AirStudio S1 is designed differently. Its value is not only the microphone itself, but the full mobile recording workflow — wireless monitoring, app control, DSP processing, portable setup, and multiple ways to connect with phones, cameras, livestreaming setups, and DAWs. That said, sound quality is still very important to us. The final result can vary depending on mic mode, gain level, DSP settings, recording distance, and the app or device being used.
