Mr. Smart,
We appreciate your feedback and your long-term relationship with us at Hivelocity. It’s unfortunate to hear your recent experience hasn’t matched your previous years with us. Upon careful review of the tickets related to your server issue, we noticed there was no recorded dissent about the chosen course of action. Our team is meticulous about updating clients in real time about all decisions and steps taken, a protocol that was adhered to during your interaction, and at no point did you disagree with or ask us to not partake in a specific action. Nothing was done without your approval as once again the server is self-managed.
It’s vital to understand that you have a self-managed server and do not subscribe to our bare metal server backup plan(s). This necessitates a client taking ownership of their data backups and implementing a robust backup plan. Our team often goes the extra mile, exceeding our SLA and SOP parameters, to support our clients. Still, we are not responsible for data protection or your backups on a self-managed server, and, any server administrator will tell you that you should have a robust backup plan in place to avoid or mitigate catastrophic failures because all hardware will eventually fail. For this reason, we strongly advise clients to prioritize a sound backup strategy when they have a self-managed server. Your concerns regarding the drive replacement have been noted, however, any perceived miscommunication during this process must be seen in the light of us following your explicit instructions as the server administrator. Hivelocity’s service is delivered by a team of professionals, deeply committed to their craft, and our track record is a testament to this commitment. We encourage open dialogue and would welcome any further input you may have on this matter. Thanks for your feedback; it plays a crucial role in our continuous improvement process.
Update:
Hivelocity does not engage in this type of behavior when working directly with our clients internally, nor do we externally, specifically in professional forums.
You have every right to add your experience, as you have, and we also have the right to respond, as we have. We will not be responding to further rhetoric.
Our customer's success and satisfaction is always our top priority. We sincerely hope that you can achieve both, whether in collaboration with our team or through alternative means.
Thank you,
