Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience hasn’t met your expectations, and we genuinely appreciate you taking the time to raise these concerns. We strive to be as transparent and communicative as possible, and it’s clear that we’ve missed the mark here.
Honeycomb is a Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) platform registered with the SEC and regulated by FINRA. This means all investments on our platform are real debt securities, and each offering includes standardized legal agreements that follow federal guidelines. Still, we understand how disappointing it can feel when a business you’ve backed isn’t meeting repayment expectations.
When businesses fall behind or default, we do have internal processes, including outreach, restructuring efforts, and legal actions that investors may vote on, but these steps take time and aren’t always as visible to investors as they should be. We’re actively working to improve how we communicate throughout this process.
Investing in small businesses is inherently risky, and every campaign includes disclosures to help set expectations. Many investors on Honeycomb choose to participate because they believe in supporting entrepreneurs and building stronger communities, and we’re proud to support businesses that are often underserved by traditional financing systems.
We’re continuing to improve and will soon be rolling out new communication structures for campaigns in repayment trouble, to better serve both investors and business owners. Your feedback helps us move that effort forward. If you’d like a status update on a specific campaign, we’re here to help and eager to respond at [email protected].
Sincerely,
The Honeycomb Credit Team
