I think a lot more people need to be aware of IFD. Literally saved me with only 2.5 months to study. It had been a while since I’d last seen some of the science content and I thought their high yield guide covered a good chunk in a short period of time. I also had the chance to be a reviewer for their updated version and received a free copy. Happy to say it looks even better. Their free resources are absolutely a must!! Went from a 500 diagnostic to 512 with a CARS score of 124 to 129.

This program is different from the rest in the best way possible. I tried the big company 515+ courses, they say their course works for people who work full time with a fluctuating schedule, but that’s a misleading claim. The IFD program is built for people who need to study and take care of other life responsibilities. Although a self paced and independent course, the IFD program felt like I had my own personal tutor the whole time. John and Maggie are just very relatable and easy to understand. They provide a clear pathway to success and give you the confidence to take on this huge feat.

I have been watching IFD on YouTube for the last 2 years, and honestly, being non-trad (out of undergrad for 6+ years), I would have never been able to tackle the MCAT if it wasn't for John and Maggie's incredible and to the point breakdowns. Whenever I would look at a passage, I would completely shut down, but watching IFD explanations, I immediately would feel so much better, because the breakdowns actually made sense, and I realized I was overcomplicating all sections of this exam. I’ve recommended IFD’s FLE breakdowns to all my friends because of how much they’ve helped me. I still struggle with the MCAT and consider myself a slower learner, but these resources have made test day feel much less daunting. I’ve spent countless hours and a lot of money on tutors and programs like Blueprint, only to feel like I was getting nowhere. For anyone who needs a fresh start, I would recommend beginning your prep with IFD and building from there. I’ve made a lot of decisions I regret throughout my MCAT journey, but choosing IFD is not one of them. I’ll continue using their material until I take my exam this fall.

I love how concepts are broken down into easy-to-understand explanations with examples, making learning both clear and engaging! Plus, it highlights key points to watch out for and how they might appear on the exam, which is incredibly helpful. Definitely a bargain for everything you get!

I purchased the AAMC Passage Breakdowns course during my previous MCAT cycle, and it was hands down one of the most helpful resources I used for understanding the AAMC logic. The breakdowns made it much easier to see how to approach the passages, identify the important details and avoid any common traps in the answer choices. I especially liked how the course focused not just on content, but on how to actually think through the AAMC style questions. I found it very useful and would 100% recommend it to students who want a really clear strategy to approach the FLs and improve their passage comprehension as well as approach!

IFD has been such an important part of my prep! It has added much needed structure to my study schedule, helping me narrow in on what to actually focus on. The courses are great, and if you need a refresher, the videos aren't too long but always leave me feeling more confident in my knowledge. As a non-traditional applicant who has had to take the MCAT a few times, IFD is the only study resource that has truly clicked with my brain.
