this website barely works, we constantly have to reschedule tests because canvas keeps glitching out and its also really badly designed with horrible navigation

My school uses Canvas, and I must say, it is extremely poorly designed. Some pages don't theme correctly, others just don't work altogether. If you only have access to an iPad at home to do homework (like my brother) you sometimes simply can't. On the Canvas app, most images don't load and make navigating hard, especially if your teacher uses images as buttons. Then, if you would move to the website, touch controls just wouldn't work, stopping you from being able to do most activities. In the end, just use something simple like Seesaw or Class Dojo. Both bad, but at least better than this shitty platform.

As you may know, Canvas is used in collages. But we use it in MIDDLE SCHOOL! This website is also filled with hatred and negativity. It reminds you you have missing work even if it was due LAST QUARTER! It constantly reminds you that you have turned in assignments late, or if they're overdue, no matter the time period. Instead of ACTUALLY fixing the website's bugs and complexity, they notify you in the "help" section of the website "New updates" that don't even do ANYTHING to fix the site. The makers of canvas would rather make money off of confusing UI rather than fixing the website itself. Our teachers rely on this site too much, and when we HAVE to do a digital assignment, It's usually ON CANVAS! 2/5 stars, it CAN be improved, but it still isn't good.

Thier Canvas app is open source, but terrible. Just to give you an idea, some notifications I get 5 times, some not at all. In either case, a read notification is not marked as read, so I have many 'unread' notifications, that I read. This caused me to miss important information before. And this is just notifications, a lot on the platform works this poorly.
