The most important service I can provide is educating the owner on how they can use dog psychology to have a better relationship with their dog. You as the owner must be involved in your dog’s training in order to be successful long term. What would be the point of your dog behaving perfectly with me and not with you? Here are some common problems I’m often called to help with…Pulling on walksLeash reactivityBolting Out The DoorRecallExcitabilityWhat I do is in home coaching. I believe that leadership begins inside the home, in the dog’s environment. If you can lead your dog inside the home without distractions, then you can transfer that leadership outside, where you will be competing with Mother Nature. The most rewarding part of my job as a dog training coach is seeing the growth in the human. With the right communication, and patience from the human, it’s fairly easy to change a dog’s behavior. However I believe in order for us to change our dog’s behavior, we must first be willing to make changes within ourselves. This is why I refer to myself as more of a “coach” than a traditional “dog trainer”.

Other trainers said leash training my dog is impossible, but JP proved that to be untrue. My dog’s medical condition requires him to wear a harness indefinitely so collars/being pulled by the neck is not allowed. JP took on this leash training challenge and although it was new to him, managed to deliver a successful training session. You can’t help but to notice how knowledgeable he is in his field, well equipped he is with resources and tools, and how much he enjoys what he does. He is a honest, patient, humble, and persevering dog trainer. I’ve got some homework to do now, but by incorporating JP’s training method and following his well demonstrated techniques, I am confident that in no time my dog and I will enjoy easy and relaxed walks - with a harness! Thank you JP.
