Kryptonite kindly sent me a replacement lock after my key snapped off in my lock. Sadly unable to provide a refund for the cost of removing the lock as I couldn't provide photos of the cut lock but they gave me the benefit of the doubt on the replacement lock which I'm grateful for Small criticisms: 1. There is no clear way of raising this kind of request on the kryptonite website so I had to raise it under warranty issues 2. Due to this lack of clear pathway, and the fact that it took them about a month to get back to me, I threw away the cut lock on the assumption nothing was going to happen. Obviously, should have taken a picture but a month is ages in customer service terms. Still-grateful for the replacement lock

J’ai acheté un vélo il y a 3 ans, on m’a vendu cet antivol (kryptonite évolution) avec comme promesse qu’il était involable et que pour le prouver mon vélo était garantie. J’ai acheté le vélo et l’antivol le même jour, sur la même facture. j’ai payé 40€ sur le site de kryptonite pour la garantie ATPO de 5 ans. j’ai attaché mon vélo solidement, je me suis fait voler mon vélo (antivol coupé à la disqueuse) j’ai retrouvé l’antivol coupé en deux. j’ai fait la déclaration à la police, puis la déclaration à l’assurance, avec toutes les photos demandées. j’ai attendu un mois une réponse et je n’en ai JAMAIS eue. Bref, jamais je n’aurai acheté de vélo ni d’antivol aussi cher si j’avais su que cette assurance était une arnaque. Voilà un business qui arrangera les voleurs, mais aussi les vendeurs de vélo et les fabriquants d’antivol. Maj le 15 août 2023 : finalement, suite a un avis posté sur trustpilot, j'ai eu mes sous... 800€ versés. Je suis content, mais merci trustpilot.

I own a few different Kryptonite locks of varying ages. One of which that was about 10 years old stopped accepting the key fully and wont open. The lock was cared for probably above the recommendations of Kryptonite. I spent around 4 weeks trying different approved lubricants and process to get it to open before contacting Kryptonite. I had to push Kryptonite customer services a little to get a response and further to get them to action anything which was frustrating but the result was a replacement lock under warranty, which in my case was good, fortunately i didn't already have a bike in the lock. Interestingly the new version is designed slightly differently which hopefully will prevent the issue from reoccurring. If i'm honest i wouldn't trust most locks on the market to last more than a few minutes if attacked and the Kryptonite locks I have are only used as a last line of defense when locked inside of a secure building or car, I haven't heard great things about the theft protection cover and so don't even bother paying into it. It's money better spent towards good insurance.

I've had an unexpectedly positive experience. My key snapped inside the lock and in an attempt to get reimbursed for the cost of a locksmith, I reached out to the support team. I didnt get a response, however a month later I recieved a new lock. `it's a little odd, but I'm thankful nonetheless. I gave 4 stars as it still would have been nice to feel like i have an avenue for communication with the team at KRYPTONITE.

Quick resolution to my problem after my negative Trustpilot review. I ordered replacement keys, which arrived promptly but did not fit. On contacting customer service I received no reply, but after my review here I was refunded for the useless keys and as a courtesy received a new lock. Great service in the end, just a shame it couldn't be achieved without a public complaint.

Both my wife’s bike and mine were stolen 2 months ago from a secured door garage and both of them were locked. We both submitted claims and neither one of us received any reply even after sending follow up emails. I guess this is just a marketing stunt and you don’t follow up on any of these claims from what I see in previous reviews. EDIT: Although it took some time for Kryptonite to reach us, we were eventually contacted by Sandra to assist with our claims. Sandra was very helpful and the issue was finally resolved. Thank you so much for your help Sandra!

My 4 months old New York lock stopped working (and it had been troublesome from the start, getting jammed regularly). I have made a warranty request with kryptonite, and heard nothing at all except an automatic e-mail. Is there a customer service at all? Update 11th May: Kryptonite said they will contact me, requested my details which I provided immediately. Nothing again, silence. Expensive bike lock that didn’t last even few months, disappointing. Update 19th May: I changed my rating to 4 starts as after my last update I had an e-mail saying new lock will be sent to me. And today I have received it. Thank you. Shame it takes to go to trustpilot to get things resolved though.
