ZERO STARS!!!!!! First order dress said gold it was bronze wouldn’t give me my money back for false advertisement. So they gave me a credit. Used the credit for my daughter wedding paid express shipping $40 for the dress to come damage, they didn’t do any inspection before sending it out. Reached out to them they said to have the tailor fix it (what a joke) instead of saying let’s do this right. Dress wasn’t cheap!! I have emailed them and no response. I think is just right for them to refund me back!! The customer service is ridiculous worse service I have received. Companies like this is making it hard to support them.

Hi Erika, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience was not what you hoped for. We understand how important it is for a special occasion dress, especially one for a wedding, to arrive feeling perfect, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few details. The first dress ordered was the Ava Gown in Nude Gold. While the name includes “Gold,” this shade is designed to be a softer nude gold tone with warmer bronze-like undertones rather than a bright metallic gold. We understand that color expectations can vary, and we always want our customers to feel confident in their purchase. The gown’s color is shown as accurately as possible in the product images, though lighting, photography, and screen settings can sometimes affect how colors appear in person. The second dress ordered was the Gadot Gown. The design details of this gown are intentional and reflect the designer’s original construction. As with many formal gowns, we suggested consulting a professional tailor only if you wished to make personal adjustments or modifications to the design for your preferred fit or styling. We’re sorry that our suggested solution did not feel like the resolution you were hoping for. Our goal is always to help customers find the best option available while also staying consistent with our policies and the designer’s specifications. We truly appreciate your feedback and are sorry that this experience left you feeling disappointed. We will continue using customer feedback to improve our communication, service, and overall shopping experience.

Hi Zita, Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We are truly sorry for the disappointment and frustration this situation has caused, especially when you were looking forward to your daughter receiving her prom dress. We completely understand how important this dress was and how upsetting it must have been to not have it arrive as expected. We would like to kindly clarify what occurred with the shipment. The dress was shipped and sent through DHL Express as scheduled. However, the package could not be delivered because the required customs fees were not paid. We did communicate with your daughter regarding the outstanding customs charges and the steps needed to complete delivery. Since the customs fees remained unpaid, DHL was unable to release the package and the shipment was returned to us, which is the standard process when international deliveries cannot be completed. We understand that customs fees can be unexpected and frustrating, and we are sorry this impacted your experience. However, because the dress was returned due to unpaid import fees rather than an issue with fulfillment or shipment from our side, the order is handled according to our international order policy. In this situation, we offered store credit as the available resolution. We want to assure you that we are a legitimate business and never want a customer to feel disappointed or unsupported. Our team works hard to communicate clearly and provide assistance throughout the process, and we are sorry that this experience did not feel that way. We truly hope we can help make this right by assisting you with the available store credit and finding another beautiful dress for your daughter’s special occasion.

Dress sizes are somewhat misleading. They run very small compared to traditional sizing. If you usually wear a 0, you may wear a 4 or 6 with LBT and the dress may only fit in your largest area. It’s impossible to get someone on the phone for urgent requests. Email support is fairly quick but is frustrating in a crunch when you need clear and concise communication. I had to go through the return process which meant paying for shipping (and the return) twice. I completed my return next day first thing in the morning. However, if you need the dress urgently, don’t rely on express shipping. I paid extra, but it doesn’t make a difference when LBT waits days to send the dress out. UPS goes off their time and does not consider the business holding the item for extra time. Just order early and use regular shipping. I’d recommend using a company with more budget friendly shipping and a full return/refund policy all together. You can get a nice dress(the quality on mine was ok, but a lot of the sparkly sequin started falling off) but these are not cheap dresses, the shipping is not covered, and you will only be allowed a store credit for returns within 14 days of receipt. Update: Unfortunately after receiving the sizing recommendation from customer service, and exchanging the first ill fitting dress with a different dress, the new dress is too big. This dress would have been better in a smaller size, which is the size I went with in the first dress. Sizing is very inconsistent. I believed a lot of money would be wasted sending returns back and forth. Thank you!

Hi Gabrielle, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the sizing and exchange process was frustrating. For formal gowns, we typically recommend choosing the size that best fits your largest measurement and then having the dress tailored locally for the best fit. In this case, the size 4 was recommended because the size 2 was too tight and the size 4 better matched the largest of the measurements provided. Since some measurements were closer to a size 2, it is possible for the size 4 to feel roomier in certain areas. Alterations are very common with formalwear and are often needed to create the perfect fit, especially with fitted gowns. We also understand that exchanges can feel stressful when you are working with an event timeline. We offer a Free Returns and Package Protection option at checkout for US customers who would like added coverage and a simpler return process. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to make the sizing guidance and customer experience as helpful as possible.

DO NOT order a gown from ladyblacktie. The dresses are mis sized and the return policy is misleading. You cannot return for your money back - only for store credit. If you pick the perfect dress then you are in luck - but the customer service is non existent - you cannot ever speak to a representative or get in contact with a manager. Prom Girl and Meshki and of course Nordstrom and Macys provide the customer service we want and need.
