The hardest thing in fashion is looking good without looking like you tried. That's the whole philosophy behind Laidback Lover. Silhouette comes first, before anything else. You can wear the simplest outfit in the world, but if the fabric drapes right and the cut sits right, it stands out more than anything loud ever will. Effortless is a fit problem, not a styling problem. So we build backwards from most brands.Instead of pulling fabric off a stock shelf and designing around it, we start at the mill. Every fabric is custom milled to our own spec, in the weight and hand we want, soft, mid and heavy, so each piece has that broken-in vintage feel from the first wear.Fit gets the same treatment. Nothing goes into production until we've sampled it, recut it and sampled it again, until the silhouette is one we'd actually wear. If it isn't right, it goes back. Every time. Logo use stays minimal on purpose.The fabric and the construction do the talking. Everything is made to layer and to live in your rotation long past the season it dropped. Timeless, but never dated.Behind it is David Kollar, with over 14 years in fashion, product placement in 300+ retailers worldwide, New York Fashion Week shows and a CAFA nomination for Best Menswear Designer.
