Hi Rose,
This is not how this interaction unfolded. You came to us searching for a particular model that was NOT in stock with any big box retailer that we still had a few available. You contacted us, we confirmed inventory, told you it would be processed and shipped out in 2-3 working business days, and will be in your possession transit time, 7-10 days afterwards, because the order was going coast to coast. A day or two later, you proceeded to place your order online, did NOT use our coupon code of the sale on the site and were not charged any tax on the order. Order was placed on the 12th, we had it processed, picked up by the carrier, and in transit in 2 working business days!! The email was sent to you so that you can track the order, and your order was closed out. Over a week later, on the eve of delivery, you proceeded to check Wayfair and happen to see this model back in stock and for less.
Our service, processing, booking, and honoring exactly what we communicated to you was not enough. You needed this as cheap as humanly possible as well!!
You proceeded to call us randomly, probing questions like price matching, without being forthcoming that you already had an order in house with us. It took a bit of back and forth with our manager to find out, look at our notes in the order, to figure out what you were after and what you think you were entitled to.
We will make it clear again. Price matching, is when both companies have the product IN stock. You would of had to email us the link on the competitors site so that we can match, apple to apples, with tax included, the correct price, so we can see if we can make it work and that order would need to be placed over the phone so that we could adjust the pricing on our end, and proceed to check you out and complete that order. It is not done, weeks, days, months, AFTER the order is placed and closed out and order is either in transit or in your possession.
What is statute of limitations on this behavior and entitlement we ask??
Once we sorted out the facts on this probing and intentional vague call, we told you a simple no. It was you Rose, who proceeded to push back on us, having this escalate, and having us to notify you on CC'ing in our legal team, in case of a possible cancellation. It was important that you were aware of our Terms and Conditions for cancellation and costs associated with it regarding shipping costs and restock fees.
Multiple times during our call you proceeded to bad mouth us and our service threatening to take your business elsewhere for a tub purchase because you were told we could not price match an order that already shipped out and closed, even though, we did everything exactly the way we communicated it to you on our first call when you wanted something no one else had and did it in record time! Now, you are attempting to tarnish our reputation, cherry picking a narrative of being a victim, and doing exactly what Wayfair exists for.
See Rose, Wayfair doesn't make a profit, they haven't been profitable since the day they came into existence. As a matter of fact, they only exist to put hard working smalls businesses OUT of business. They ONLY exist to cannibalize. They have thousands of terrible reviews, yet have customers like you working for them.
This is the state of affairs today.....
