Hello,
We’re sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience, but we would like to clarify several important details regarding the auction process.
Per our terms and conditions, all buyers are responsible for bringing their own tools, equipment, labor, and assistance necessary for removal. Items are sold and presented exactly as pictured, and many commercial fixtures and appliances require dismantling or disconnection prior to removal. This is also why we offer scheduled preview opportunities before the auction closes, so bidders can inspect items in person and determine the size, condition, and what may be required for removal prior to placing bids.
The pickup dates and times are also clearly listed in the auction details ahead of time. Because we are liquidating locations that are often closed businesses or under strict property deadlines, pickup windows are limited and cannot typically be extended. If a bidder is unable to meet those pickup requirements, we ask that they refrain from participating in that specific auction.
Regarding the fee charged, when a winning bidder does not complete the purchase, we incur administrative costs and must offer the item to a backup bidder at a reduced amount. Per our policies, this results in a relisting/restocking fee and recovery of the difference between the winning bid and the backup bid amount. Although the item was ultimately offered to the backup bidder, the winning bidder still failed to complete the transaction as agreed.
As the auction platform, we act as the middleman between the seller and the buyer, and it is ultimately the bidder’s responsibility to review the auction details, terms and conditions, and attend preview if they have questions about removal requirements. We strive to be transparent and provide all necessary information upfront so customers can make informed bidding decisions.
We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best moving forward.
