The chat service was totally unacceptable. I would receive one answer and then the person would not answer any more. I had to go back in one question at a time. The fourth time, nobody answered. Tried several times - nothing. Chat reps are not helpful. None went beyond to help me or help Macmall make the sale. Bought based on price only.

I ordered a new iMac 21.5" 2017 model because they were the only seller with the features I wanted. They don't tell you that the computer is not in stock. I contacted them by phone a couple of days after placing my order to inform them that my account page on their website has no record of any order. I was assured that the order would show up on my account after the computer was shipped. The computer was not in stock and they anticipated a 2 week delay. About 2 weeks later I got an email stating that my computer has been shipped. I checked my account page, still no order associated with my account. I sent customer service an email asking how they can sell things, debit my credit card, and never acknowledge a sale on my account. They sent a reply that did not answer any of the questions. It simply said we have attached an invoice for your order. So, are they avoiding tax, are they planning on not honoring warranty? Why operate this way? My computer is supposed to arrive tomorrow. UPS says the package is coming from Ingram Micro L.P. Who is that?, not Apple or Macmall. I hope there is nothing wrong with the computer. I bought a MacBook from them years ago with no problems. Seems things have changed. Update: My iMac finally arrived and my order did eventually show up on their website. The customer service department does not seem to understand their own system. The email response I got from them said that my order did not show up on my account because I did not buy directly from MacMall, but from Amazon, or another site. This is not true. I did order directly from the MacMall site. Not sure why they thought I didn't.

These guys make it too hard to process a credit card order. It's not enough that the bank has verified the order. They have to talk to you and verify each order. Could you make this harder?
