Marek is a really solid clinic with great employees and knowledgeable doctors. I’ve been with them for 1.5 years now and have never had an issue. There process is quick and concise, and the way they select their patient coordinators has a lot to do with that. Fortunately, I was assigned to a gentleman named, Jamie MacFarlane, who handles all of the logistics having to do with my case, and does a brilliant job. Always on top of things, always quick and efficient, always a pleasure to work with. I’m sure there are others that are great, but rest assured, if you’re placed under Jamie, you’re in great hands. Great company, five stars.

I waited too long to seek hormonal health (optimization). The symptoms crept into my life so slowly, that made me think it was a "normal/natural" part of aging. I'm only 42. Maximizing your health has never been this easy. I was able to switch from Testosterone pellets (not a good experience at all) to injectable TRT therapy because of Marek. Adam Hotchkiss and Matthew Moeller reviewed my blood work as thorough as I've ever experienced. The blood work report/analysis was the most detailed blood work I've ever had done. They prescribed me the right dosage of TRT and my levels are right where they need to be. I feel great. Shot out to the Bell Brothers for introducing me to Marek Health. Matthew is super responsive and I can tell he actually cares about my health.

Since I started my blood work has all good in a positive direction. Glad I stated getting blood work on a normal bases to catch things early. My patient care coordinator(Jamie Macfarlane) helps me with any questions just as mail away.

I like the treatment plan and testing I've gotten at Marek Health. Jamie MacFarlane is my PCC, and he's 5/5. I have a lot of questions, and he takes the time to answer them, sometimes digging up published research to help me understand the treatment I'm getting. Marek Health itself does have a big issue though. It's their partnership with Empower Pharmacy. The fact that the doctors I'm talking to at Marek Health won't write me a prescription that I can fill at my pharmacy of choice makes it seem as if part of their business model is to finesse patients out of money when it comes to drugs. A lot of money. Every (generic) drug they've prescribed to me is up to SEVEN TIMES more expensive through Marek Health / Empower Pharmacy than what I pay (without insurance) at Cost Plus Drugs. To give you a concrete example, 90 tablets of 10 mg Ezetimibe cost me $67.50 and an additional $30 in shipping when I bought it through Marek Health / Empower Pharmacy. A subtotal of $97.5 before taxes. It costs $8.40 and $5 shipping to get the exact same thing from Cost Plus Drugs, and Cost Plus Drugs is making money from that. A subtotal of $13.50 before taxes. In total, Marek Health started me on 5 prescriptions, and all of them are at these gouging markups. My advice to current and future patients is to run all of your test results and the treatment plan you’re given past your primary care provider, and if it all checks out, have your primary care provider write you the prescriptions instead. You will save hundreds per refill and thousands per year. Edit: My local pharmacy and Cost Plus Drugs are also not charities, yet they are orders of magnitude cheaper (without insurance). The PCP and specialists I see locally tailor their treatment to my needs without it being charity, either. I pay Marek Health for all of their services, not just drugs. I even gave them a good review for their non-drug services. Yet this response. A response which, by the way, confirms that gouging patients on drugs is intentional.

Was curious about detailed bloodwork so I hired the professionals at MAREK to advise. I started in December of 2022 and as of March 13th 2023 I have noticed a huge difference in temper and overall happiness with life. This has been a huge help with dealing with PTSD, anxiety and overall well being. MAREK should be everyone’s first stop before resorting to anti-depressants, medicating sleep problems, or any inflammation problems. Highly recommend Marek Health. Jamie MacFarlane is my PCC and is the best. Very knowledgeable if I have questions and explaining everything for me to understand.
