took forever to call back, hard to understand and wrong diagnosis.

As an older guy suffering from a urinary tract infection, I was unable to schedule a timely visit to my Primary care provider. I called the nurses at Humana, available by phone, to see if there was something I could do. The nurse I spoke with enthusiastically referred me to MDLIVE. In my experience, enrollment was not simple. A part of the process requires confirming a password sent by email, which I never received. The time-consuming process was finally completed by phone. At that point, the phone assistant asked if I would like to make an appointment. With a sigh of relief, I said yes. When I told him I believed my problem was a urinary tract infection, there was a long pause. The assistant then told me that MDLIVE Doctors weren't allowed to assist men with urinary tract infections. He then went on to explain what I needed to do to have further interaction with MDLIVE. I told the young man that I didn't need to take any further actions, because I didn't intend to use the service in the future. It sounds like most users have had a much more positive experience than I did, but I wonder what other ailments are "out-of-bounds."

Be mindful you may pay for a consult and still not be treated in many cases. You may spend 50 bucks to be told what you already know. Best to put money towards an in person visit in my opinion.

We’ve used it twice and both times the doctors were nice basically told me there was nothing they could do and that I needed to follow up with a primary. Was basically pointless.

Paid $44 dollars for the doctor to tell me to go to the doctor.

My MD told me to go get medicine over the counter. Even after having symptoms for 5 days, a light grade fever and not having taken an antibiotic in over 3 years. He had poor bed side manner and no compassion. Would not pay a penny for him again.

Have to say I’m not really a fan. I used the service knowing that I had some sort of stomach flu, and expected the doctor to prescribe some antibiotics. I was informed you that because of my high fever that I should instead go to a Centra care because they might want to do additional tests. I went to Centra care and they just gave me an anabiotic and sent me on my way as I expected. So $200 for Centra care plus the $40 for the MD live call. What really got me is when I told the story to friends at work three people had the same experience, where do you live told them to go to Centra care. So would it would seem that MD live is simply a conduit to tell you to go to Centra care (or similar walk-in care facility).

I must preface my review by saying that the care I received was excellent. My review is dealing directly with how MDLIVE verified insurance. Despite multiple attempts to "confirm my insurance information" including calling and speaking to a representative and many attempts to follow the directions given by the message I received from MDLIVE, my information never updated. In fact, via the web it resulted in an error each time I submitted the form. My husband's account had no difficulty updating with the same insurance. I am very frustrated that I had to pay $44 instead of my paltry copay.
