It was very fast and easy to use, but I did not like the doctor I spoke to. She was very dismissive and made me feel like I was stupid for even calling. I have a 3 months old baby and I was very worried that I was getting sick and wouldn't be able to take care of her or even worse, that I would give something to her. That doctor has absolutely no bedside manner.

Good response time, but diagnosis was not accurate
I received a prompt call from the doctor soon after requesting an appointment, and he listened to my symptoms, asked a couple followup questions, and then explained his diagnosis. The diagnosis, unfortunately, was not accurate, as I found out that night when the symptoms not surprisingly continued and were enough for me to go to urgent care. His diagnosis was that it was too early to prescribe medication for what he considered minor symptoms of my common cold, so he recommended over the counter Flonase, Mucinex, and Ibuprofen. I do not call MDLive for minor symptoms however and I am not a hypochondriac - I was trying to get treatment to proactively get ahead of the illness before it caused me to miss work or continue to be contagious to my family and others. Of course that night my symptoms prevented me from sleeping at all so I went to urgent care at 6am and was prescribed an antibiotic that, not surprisingly, took care of the illness successfully. I understand the caution that doctors use in not overprescribing antibiotics, lest antibiotics lose effectiveness for patients and bacteria grow resistant to the antibiotics. But waiting 7 days as the doctor suggested before he would treat with prescriptions, enduring those symptoms for a full week before an antibiotic would be considered, just is not a reasonable approach, in my view.
So this time with MDLive I lost out on my copay and paid more at urgent care less than 24 hours later for an accurate diagnosis. In prior visits I have received accurate diagnoses though, so it's a bit hit-and-miss with effectiveness.

The process went smoothly but the diagnosis and prescription were not helpful.

Not recommended
I found that the app was not very user friendly. The medical history section was very lengthy. When I temporarily left to look up some information that was requested, it timed out and did not save much of the information that I had already provided. I requested customer service to call me for assistance. When i finally had an MD on the line, she had such a thick foreign accent that I could hardly understand her and had to ask her many times to repeat herself. She decided that I was too sick for her to help me and told me that I should have been already seen by a doctor. The whole experience was a big waste of time and money. I went to an urgent care center after I got off of the phone and of coarse had to pay for that also. Now that MDLIVE has my information saved, I may give it another chance in the future. But I will not, at this point, recommend it to anyone else.

I made it all the way through…
I made it all the way through confirmation of appt to waiting for a call from a physician for them to tell me they would not treat me. I could've saved all that time just going to the Urgent Care Office.

Dr. set script to be filled 3 days after phone call??
The dr I spoke with gave me a script for a mouth rinse for my throat. When I went to pick it up at my local Costco pharmacy I was told that the dr had set up the script to be filled 3 days from the date of the phone call. Which made no sense at all. I was able to get the script, but that was additional time I had to wait for it to be filled, at a time when I was not feeling very good.
