I didn't think the site to input history/prescriptions was very friendly in fact I skipped some info because it was troublesome to find the right med to record.
I had a difficult time understanding the doctor because of his accent.
I did however, leave with the meds to treat my problem.

Doctor was polite but didn’t listen to a lifetime history of the same respiratory illness.
Had to go to an urgent center after this telemedicine appointment to get adequate care.
Very disappointed and probably won’t use this service again.

Didnt listen
Didnt listen, just asked me if i had the flu shot and that it must be the flu. (It was not, my regular doctor was able to determine that after just a few minutes of talking to me) After a few more days of no improvement i had to see my primary doctor and had to receive a steroid shot in order to kick start me back up. I thought it would be convenient to use, but really bit me in the butt and cost me another 2 days out of the office.

Poor experience overall
Poor experience overall. I created an account online on a Saturday night due to a minor medical issue. The website says calls will happen within 15 minutes, but once the account was created I was told it would be an hour. I received 2 system calls to say I was in queue. Over 90 minutes later I received a call saying a doctor was unavailable, and asked if I wished to make an appointment in the morning. So much for 24 hour service.
The next morning, the scheduled appointment time passed with no call, so I called them. At that point, it was resolved quickly. I received a call from a doctor within 5 minutes.
So... once I got service, it went well. But their system failed utterly the night before,

Disappointed
Not quite as positive as in the past
In the past, MDLIVE has been a great benefit. Lately, however, the focus seems to have changed. At age 60+ I have had sinus infections and tonsil infections several times. When I described my fever, my drainage amounts and color, my inability to swallow, the constant coughing, my chest filling with congestion, etc., I thought I was being clear regarding by symptoms.
The advice was different that any previous experience, however. I was told to throw away all fever reducers and let the fever run it's course- and to walk outside at least 30 minutes each day (even though it's 95+ degrees in Texas and the pollen is terrible). I was instructed to use Flonase in my nose and to spray my tonsils as well. I was also informed to gargle "in several positions" then swallow the gargle, and to use my sinus rinse with water and honey in it, then crawl around my house on hands and knees with my head hanging down to help with drainage.
While I did not walk outside nor crawl around my floor, I did try to follow the other advice. I ended up at an urgent care with bronchitis, tonsillitis, a sinus infection, a throat infection, and a fever of 103. Pneumonia was also mentioned.
I do not feel this is 'normal' for MDLIVE. The advice I get is usually spot-on and I am feeling better within 24 hours. I think this was just an odd occurrence - I will use the service again and I do encourage others to do so.

My son David
The customer service was excellent.
I was called back almost immediately by the doctor and doctor was very polite.
My problem is the diagnosis:
It was evening time and my son was dizzy the day before. He had started coughing but I didn't think much of it because he rarely gets sick. He rested most of the day. Then he got a fever. I called because of the fever....that means infection. I was hoping for an antibiotic to be called out. I gave him ibuprofen to help with fever. The doctor told me it was allergy related and to give him a flonaze type and allergy type. I did this for 2 days and the cough got worse as well as the fever. I brought him to our family doctor and he had strep throat (not allergy related). He received 2 shots and antibiotics and cough medicine. I do not understand why the mdlive doctor didn't call out something for a fever/antibiotic. Thank you for your time.

A missed diagnosis
I contacted MDLive after having been sick one week. I adequately and thoroughly described my symptoms and answered all questions of the doctor. She prescribed Prednisone and recommended Afrin. I asked why I would not receive an antibiotic since I had thick, green mucus. She didn't feel it was necessary. 24 hours later I had to check into Urgent Care (another $189) and was diagnosed with wheezing, acute sinusitis and acute bronchitis. I received an injection of steroid, a breathing treatment, an antibiotic and antihistamine. I was pulled off the Afrin immediately and it was recommended I never take. All in all, I missed more work and was disappointed in this experience.
