I loved the convenience of using MDLIVE since my 5 year old son was sick. The doctor called quickly and prescribed my child steroids for his cough, which was exactly what he needed. However, the doctor never called in the prescription, and 5 hours after the appointment on the phone, I had to call back and MDLIVE had to investigate all the details of the appointment. 2 more hours later, the prescription was finally called into the local pharmacy. Because it was so late, I could not give my child his medicine until the next morning since the prescription would have caused him to stay awake that evening.

There were issues with the communications, which kept cutting out on us. The Dr. had to keep adjusting things on her end. We were told we would receive a follow up when meds were ready but did not. I would definitely use the service again, though. Great resource!

The person I was working with was obviously ESL . . . when seeking medical advice I expect not only expert medical advice, but also a strong grasp of proper use of English.

Hi Jill. We understand your concern about not being able to understand your doctor. Understanding your condition and the treatment instructions is extremely important. Please know that it’s never inappropriate or impolite to ask your doctor to repeat what they’ve said or to speak more slowly. Even if you have to do this several times, your doctor shares your goal of successful treatment.

Love MDLive. This is the second time I have used them and it saved me a trip to the doctor. I am very happy with the knowledge of the doctors and the entire process is easy without having to leave the house when you are sick. They have helped me both times I have used them and I would have probably had to go to the hospital without their help with getting me the prescriptions I needed.
