Some facilities only include the facility rate in their self-pay options, and while this may seem like a cheaper option at first glance, many patients end up receiving surprise bills later because the self-pay option quoted did not include other procedure-related services like radiology, pathology, labs, anesthesia, etc. We encourage all patients to ask questions about self-pay rates that may seem cheaper than a bundled option to be sure you have the full picture of the cost of your procedure.
