Update 8/11/26
First, I want to sincerely thank you for your honesty and transparency in your recent Trustpilot review. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us understand our customers' experiences and improve our service.
I wanted to follow up with you directly regarding the unexpected charge you experienced. After reviewing your shipment, it appears the rebill was applied because the freight class had to be adjusted based on the actual dimensions of the freight.
Because the actual heights (80" and 79") were significantly taller than the declared 60" and exceeded 75 inches, XPO Logistics invoked their standard "Item 26 Sec. 2 - 75" Rule." Under this carrier rule, any piece with a height equal to or exceeding 75 inches is adjusted to a billed height of 96 inches.
This dimensional correction changed the total cubic feet and lowered the density to 7.356 PCF. Consequently, the carrier legally reclassified the shipment from Class 85 to Class 125. The disputed amount represents the legitimate carrier fee difference between the originally declared 60-inch Class 85 shipment and the actual inspected ~80-inch Class 125 shipment.
I understand that surprise adjustments like this are frustrating. I've attached the Inspection certificate for your records so you can review the specific adjustments made by XPO.
If you have any other questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Previously response:
Hi Nick,
I completely understand your frustration. Trust me, we absolutely hate when rebills happen just as much as you do.
To provide some context, every carrier on Mothership is strictly required to provide proof for a rebill and a clear explanation of why it occurred, such as a carrier inspection report verifying a discrepancy in weight or dimensions.
That said, we always want to stand up for our customers. We have a dedicated team focused on fighting these charges on your behalf. To improve this experience, we also just launched a brand new dispute process designed to provide much better transparency and documentation throughout the review.
We would love to get your feedback on this new process and see how we can make things right. Please reach out to me directly ([email protected]) with your MS#, so I can personally investigate your billing adjustments.
