Will never recommend this site, coz once you purchase and you want returns or something you will not get a hold of a representative.. Tried email, no response and tried contacting them thru 877-411- GEAR but you will just be directed to voice mail, and if ever you left a message they wont even call back.. So dont waste time i this site.. Bad customer service

I ordered some tires that were shown as in stock, but a week later I still hadn't received a shipping confirmation email so I called to see what was going on - only to find out that they're closed at the weekends. Support is non-existent, stock status on the website is incorrect. This was my first order and it'll be the last I ever place with these jokers. The very least I'd expect when placing an order and the item is backordered is for a courtesy call to explain the situation.

I placed my order for some snowshoes with Mountains Plus Outdoor Gear on Dec. 1, 2014, and after the worst shopping experience of my life, I finally cancelled the order today, Feb. 12, 2015. DO NOT shop with this company. I placed literally dozens of phone calls to their Customer Service (speaking with Colby and Doug on multiple occasions), and never got any service whatsoever. Excuses, unanswered emails, and false promises to call me back--this is all I ever received

Ordered an in stock item on a Monday with 7-10 day shipping. After a few days of not shipping, I was told the item would ship the following Monday (Day 7), they charged my card $1000 for the item. No reply to messages on Live Chat and didn't reply to my email when the item didn't ship. After a few messages, I was told the item was still en route from their "warehouse." Clearly their "warehouse" is the manufacturer. Just BE HONEST and tell people when items are not in stock. I would otherwise not write a review, but this was completely annoying. And this was to be a gift. THANKS! Go elsewhere.

I have had trouble with this company placing adds and sales adds that are out of stock. Also I was almost ready to order a sleeping bag with a free bag pad as part of the sale. I put it in the shopping cart and when I went to check on to purchase the free pad was removed from the add. Something kinda strange about these people.

Hi Edward Thanks for your comments. However, I am a little confused. I see that you ordered a Big Agnes tent from us on 11/29 which we promptly shipped to you on 12/3. It looks like it is scheduled to be delivered to you on 12/8 so you should be all set. Was there some other issue with your order? Regarding your comments above I can only think that we did, indeed, sell out of something as this is one of the busiest shopping periods of the year and many items are selling out throughout the day. Our inventory is, in fact, very fluid at this time and we do advise customers to purchase a product a product if they are interested in it rather than wait as it may not be there when they return. Again, I don't know the facts regarding what you mention above but this is my best guess. In any case, please let us know if there was some issue with your tent order or if there was something else we could do. Again, thank you for your feedback. - Team Mountains Plus

I have had 2 bad experiences. The first, i ordered a product, should have had it by the time they informed me they didn't have it. The second,ordered 4 products with there credit card, after being approved. Then I got an email Stating I was denied and 2 of the products were cancelled and 2 were still on the way. And to print off the label and return them. I purchased these before Christmas so I could make payments on them. Ended up having to Pay for them all at once over the phone. It was a big hassle figuring out what I owed as well. After they sent them, the price dropped the very next day. Total hassle. Will never buy from this outfit again. The guy that handled my problem was ok but there communication and stock issues are Really bad.

Hi Eugene I am very sorry regarding the issues you had with our extended credit partner, Affirm. I know the process was frustrating and it was unfortunate that they were never able to extend credit to you. We have been working with Affirm to correct the issue that seems to be limited to customers who try to place an extended credit order using an iPad. Unfortunately, you just happened to be the first and only customer who experienced this problem. I am a bit confused, however, regarding your other comments. In looking back through our records and talking with all of our staff it sounds as though your product shipped quickly and was actually delivered long before we resolved the payment issues. In fact, I believe we actually sent you a free return label so you could return the items after you told us that you wanted to cancel them. If this is incorrect, please let me know and I will be happy to investigate further. Again, my apologies for the issues regarding using Affirm and making payment. If you have other information or more specifics regarding your other comments with regard to stock issues and communication, please let me know as we most certainly want to address those here at Mountains Plus. "Worst experience ever, ordered a Thule cargo box in stock that never shipped. After waiting over a month, asked for cancellation. 2 months later, my credit card gets charged even though the order was cancelled."

Hi Andrew Again, very sorry for the issues regarding your cargo box order. We had a period this fall where our cargo box shipments were significantly delayed. Unfortunately, however, it does not appear that you were notified and this is most certainly our fault. It also looks like we initially missed the after hours chat request that you sent asking for your order to be cancelled. As a result, when your cargo box was ready to be shipped your order was charged and freight preparations were made. It was at this point, however, that we discovered your chat transcript asking us to cancel your order. We then cancelled the shipment but it appears that the refund was not automatically processed as it should have been. We have implemented processes to make sure notifications are made properly in cases where there are delays and have resolved the issues surrounding your missed after hours chat transcript. We constantly strive to provide excellent customer service and outstanding products. However, like any small company, we sometimes struggle with this and, occasionally, customers like yourself suffer. Please be assured that we are constantly working improve so that each customer experience is better than the last. My package arrived damaged. Customer service tried to supply a replacement part, but missed twice. Luckily the manufacturer is has top notch customer service. I wouldn't us them again.
