just plain awful. mod support is terrible, and support just gives vague answers.

Hello Aaron, I've reviewed your tickets on our system. There is some good news and that is the ARK mod problem you were experiencing has now been resolved. We found a number of issues with the way ARK manages it's mod update system, which I personally fixed yesterday. We have had multiple customers confirm that mods are now downloading correctly on their sever, including the structures + mod. Mike Assis Technical Operations Lead

I have been renting servers with these guys for a few years now. I have had continual issues with them not updating the servers in a timely fashion. I have spoke to them on multiple occasions about this. The last person I spoke to basically told me that they test the updates before they release them and that they were not going to change how they do things (I have it all in writing). I argued that they should be able to accomplish this in a timely fashion. This morning I was checking my Rust server to see player activity. The server has been empty since the update yesterday and the server still has not been updated yet a day later at the time of writing this. So I have likely lost the little player base I was developing because the server is again not accessible. I go through this every week. I also had this issue with a Factorio server I was renting from them. Oh and did I mention the Rust server I opted for cost me almost 100$ Canadian because I got double memory ect, and yet they still are providing me sub par service despite the price. I was not going to bother writing a review until I noticed they had the nerve to do this to me again. *Poor problem solving and public relations *Unreliable server hosting *Constant server babysitting by the customer *Very high price for poor service So now I will be using a different company and as a result they have lost a long time customer. If you are serious about renting a quality server I recommend you look elsewhere. Update: They still have not updated server. Update: Machine 'tor31' doesn't have 'Rust Experimental' installed (modid: 17695) ^Another coincidence? I think not.

Hello Adam, I personally dealt with your tickets and I can only apologise if my answers were not too your liking. As I mentioned in the ticket, we have to test rust and it's updates on our system before we can roll them out across our server farm. Depending on the type of update, and what is potentially wrong with it, our roll out time can be a bit longer than normal. The vast majority of our updates are fully tested and rolled out well within an hour of them going live. The reason there is a delay is due to our system not processing updates on a per server basis. The way our system works is that we update a central server, test that it works, then basically copy and paste the working files to the 100s of machines running rust that we host around the globe. Doing it this way means we can update everyone's servers a lot quicker than if we did them individually. Updating this way also ensures that the vast majority of our customers have working servers. If we had a system in place which meant that customer's servers were updated individually, it could mean that we would have a lot more customers experiencing problems and then in turn waiting even long for our support team in order to fix their server. I understand that not having your server live as soon as the update goes live is frustrating, but the way we do it on our system is necessary. I can only apologise that we are unable to offer the service you require. Mike Assis Technical Operations Lead

Initial set up and mod installation customer service is good. The main problem is frequent DDOS attack and the moderator were unable to do anything to help it.

Hello Lim, I'm really sorry about the DDoS attacks. Sadly some people get a kick out of causing disruption for others. I hope that one day we'll have adequate DDoS protection in all locations so that we can stop this from happening. Mike Assis Technical Operations Lead
