Hi Jack,
Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you had any form of poor customer service, but I will reach out and see if there's anything we can do to make your experience better. Without knowing your specific order details, I'm assuming you're referring to our alerts, chat boxes, goal widget, or event list widgets - as these typically are the only coded items we provide.
I'd like to take this opportunity to better explain why we can't provide additional files for some alerts or widgets, as this issue isn't limited to NoD alerts and widgets, but would be the case for others as well.
First, in order to make user-specific changes easy, we create a majority of our alert and widget graphics in coded form. This allows you not only to change things like font sizes, colors, and user-created images (such as logos), but also allows the alerts and widgets to dynamically adapt to user names, chat messages, and goal amounts. Something like a .png, .jpg, .mov file is static once it's rendered out.
Additionally, this makes files lightweight and efficient for the browser source (where these types of alerts and widgets are loaded from).
This is simply because StreamElements and Streamlabs deliver your events through website-like pages. Essentially, both platforms will send data to your browser source link that's loaded in OBS. Imagine a tab of Google Chrome sitting on top of your stream in OBS. Browsers don't support things like .mov, .psd, or .ae files, so it's much better for us to use web-supported graphics and code - or else we'd lose A LOT of capabilities for our products.
That said, this is only the case for alerts and widgets. The opposite is true for things like our overlay packs (webcam frames, backgrounds, and supporter bars) where we not only include all the files needed but also have options to purchase our full source files (After Effects files). This is because OBS itself is created to better handle different file types.
To summarize, it's impossible for us to provide additional graphics for some widgets, because the code is in fact the source files that we work with. This is intentional, as we believe it makes a better experience for live streamers, which is what we market and advertise on our website.
I hope this clears up questions and I wish you the best of luck in your content-creating journey!
