NetSpot is a professional multiplatform app for Wi-Fi network planning, wireless site surveys, Wi-Fi analysis, and troubleshooting. Best in its class for over 10 years. No need to be a network expert to improve your home or office Wi-Fi today! All you need is your MacBook running macOS 10.12+ or any laptop with Windows 7/8/10/11 on board and NetSpot which works over any 802.11 network. When working on a Wi-Fi network that will provide an optimal coverage, you'll need a solid research and understanding the radio frequency behavior at the spot. The effective way to obtain this information is a wireless site survey. It will reveal areas of channel interference and dead zones, and will help you tremendously to build a solid network. The main goal of a WIFI site survey is determining the feasibility of implementing a wireless network in a specific area and finding the best spots for access points and other equipment like cables and antennas. With the help of site survey you will know what type of equipment to get and where to install it.

NetSpot has created a solid wireless network tool that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It's great for small business and residential wireless network design and validation. NetSpot customer service has been quick to respond and always very helpful. The Lifetime Upgrade option has been a great value over the last six years.

I've been using NetSpot for a few months now, and it has become an essential part of my network troubleshooting toolkit. Whether you're a home user trying to improve your Wi-Fi coverage or an IT professional managing complex wireless environments, NetSpot delivers exactly what you need. What I love most is the ease of use—the interface is intuitive, and getting started with a heatmap survey is straightforward. The visualizations are clear and actionable, making it easy to identify dead zones, overlapping channels, and interference issues. The real strength lies in its detailed reporting and flexibility. I was able to optimize my router placement and channel settings using the insights from NetSpot, which significantly improved the overall network speed and stability. Also worth noting is the support team—quick to respond and genuinely helpful when I had a licensing question.

I've been using NetSpot for a while now, and I love the app. The app works extremely well and has saved me tons of time troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks. I also used it to design a Wi-Fi deployment before placing the access points. Their customer support is superb. They are friendly, quick to respond, and very helpful. It's obvious they care about their users, which you don't find everywhere. I'd definitely recommend NetSpot to anyone needing a reliable and easy to use tool for improving their Wi-Fi. Great job to the team behind this essential app.

You buy the product version, they perform an automatic update and the product simply stops working — then they try to sell you a newer version!! Absurd! You even try to download your previous version from the website and they don’t make it available! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT! TOTAL SCAM.

We should note that NetSpot doesn't just update itself without your approval. You purchased a license back in 2023, and quite probably either set up automatic updates or just clicked an update option without reading through the prompt. When you were placing your order back then you made the decision not to add Lifetime Upgrades to your license, therefore you knew that major NetSpot upgrades aren't free, we are very open about that policy, as we don't sell subscriptions, unlike others. Nevertheless, the older versions of NetSpot are downloadable from our website (the download page) at any time, or you can contact our support team if you didn't notice the older versions on our website. Also, our support team has offered you a free upgrade as a gesture of goodwill. An important thing to note here is that this rating is not based on how NetSpot has performed since 2023.
