Their site shows available stock but our order was pushed out 12 weeks. They never advised.. After a half hour in an online chat the "service rep" advised the parts are reserved to another customer. They still show as available online !!! Highly unethical.

Received my PA speakers quick, but what I received is different from what was described. Hard to trust a company that doesn't send you the items with the correct specs on it, not going to purchase from them again. Also, customer service was hell to deal with, I had like 10 different persons trying to help me on my case since they initially charged me twice, and it got confusing. But at least I ended up receiving my order.

The prices and navigation of the site were easy, but the time it takes for customer support to get back to you is dreadful, Newark sent a package to me with 4 of the same relays, but they forgot to put my address on it so it's just sitting in a UPS warehouse. I called and they said they left a ticket for UPS saying the address is correct, but have yet to receive any updates on the actual address being updated. I have checked UPS daily and nothing has change, still says, "The address is incomplete, please update address." The fact that this was a mistake in the first place is hilariously annoying.

I have not placed an order that they have not goofed up. The problem is that their web site does not give the correct minimum order quantity. Let's say you want to order (1) resistor. When you add that (1) resistor to your cart and check out, it looks like your order went through OK. But then a day or two later, a customer service person will call letting you know that the minimum order quantity is actually (100) pieces. That process has slowed down three of my orders, and is really annoying. Also, almost every order I place has had missing, miscounted items. Pretty much done with ordering from them.

BE AWARE........WITH ANY CREDIT CARD. OR BANK DEBIT PAYMENT, NEWARK WILL PLACE A PRELIMINARY CHARGE FOR THE ESTIMATED COST ON YOUR CARD. IT'S ON "HOLD", BUT THE MONEY IS DEDUCTED FROM YOUR ACCOUNT. THEN WHEN FINAL COST IS DETERMINED AND ITEM(S) READY TO BE SHIPPED, NEWARK WILL PLACE ANOTHER CHARGE FOR THE FINAL AMOUNT. YOU WILL HAVE 2 CHARGES PENDING UNTIL THE BANK/CREDIT CARD REMOVES THE INITIAL CHARGE IN 7 TO 10 DAYS. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU CHECK THHAT THE INITIAL CHARGE IS REMOVED AND MONEY RETURNED. WITH A PAYPAL PAYMENT, IT'S 30 DAYS. YOU SHOULD ONLY END UP PAYING THE LATER FINAL CHARGE. MEANTIME, YOU'VE ESSENTIALLY PAID TWICE. IF YOUR PAYMENT/ACCOUNT SOURCE DOES NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT FUNDS FOR A "DOUBLE PAYMENT", NEWARK REJECTS THE PAYMENT METHOD......EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE ENOUGH FUNDS TO ACTUALLY COVER THE PURCHASE. IF YOUR ORDER TOTAL IS EXPENSIVE, MANY CUSTOMERS SIMPLY CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE "DOUBLE" THE PURCHASE COST CHARGED TO THEIR PAYMENT SOURCE FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME. WHY CAN'T NEWARK ADJUST THE FINAL PAYMENT AGAINST THE THE INITIAL PENDING CHARGE, SO YOU ONLY PAY THE FINAL AMOUNT DUE AND NOT HAVE THE "INITIAL PENDING CHARGE" ON YOUR ACCOUNT FOR AT LEAST A WEEK. MONEY YOU CANNOT ACCESS. THIS PROCEDURE MIGHT BE EASIER/FASTER FOR NEWARK. HOWEVER, ANY MERCHANT PAYMENT METHOD THAT HOLDS MY MONEY FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME BEFORE IT'S CREDITED BACK TO MY ACCOUNT IS A BAD STRATEGY. NEWARK IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

9-Mar-2020: I am following up on my original one-star review on 25-Apr-2020 of Newark, which I left posted, with a two-star review since, after a lot of work on my part, Newark did straighten out the financial aspects of that review so I figure I at least owe them an update. However, I’m a bit disturbed by the fact that I got nicked $16 to ship a $2 part by Priority mail (which only cost $7.50) that was part of that same order. Newark has gone to the bottom of my list on my order of preference as far as vendors go because of my recent experience. They seem to carry a few parts that I find difficult to get from other vendors so I may end up ordering from them again although if I do, I’ll be doing that rather reluctantly. Once trust is lost it can be very hard to regain. At this point Newark has lost my trust.

Wish I read these before I ordered. Very good prices for components, but if you have a problem, don't get in a hurry. Ordered 10 items in different quantities. Got 9 correct. Order #464004, Line Item 7 was supposed to be 10 2uf capacitors, and I got 10 #6 terminals. The bag containing the terminals had the correct capacitor label attached. Evidently, the packer can't tell capacitors from huge #6 terminals. Emailed customer service right away. Two days later, called them. Off shore both times. So far, no response at all. OK, I'll give them some slack due to the pandemic, but at LEAST they could send an Email saying "we're working on it". Think I'll go back to Mouser and pay the prices...

On their web site, sometimes, the small pictures shown for a product do not match the product that is eventually shipped. For example, the contact cleaner Deoxit D series shows a picture of two 5 oz cans for a price of about $24. But they only shipped me one can and charged me the full $24 (*WAY* too high for only one can) Most people would call this an old fashion "bait and switch scam". It pains me to write this negative review. My first Newark order was back in 1963 for electronic parts that I used for building my first radio transmitter (I'm a ham radio operator). As a young kid, I was thrilled to receive-by-mail their thick catalog. I will NOT be ordering from Newark again.
