Paying multiple times over years for pure ease. Realised I actually want to remove a lot of emails from GMAIL which they make very hard to do (not being able to label all emails from companies as spam, putting family pictures up first to "free space" rather than rubbish emails to emote you into paying). What annoys me most is I have a month to come up with the goods (money) before they delete it all but in that time I cant use the things I need - you can't delete and amend the space so you can't whittle it down yourself. Complete scam tailored to make you think it's helping and making your life easier when they really hold you over the edge of a cliff.

I want to share my experience with Google One support, particularly how I’ve been treated during a very critical situation that remains unresolved. My Google account has been under verification review for over two months, even though I submitted all the requested documents. My payment information has always been on file, and yet I’ve been unable to upgrade my storage or access important emails. This issue became urgent while I’ve been out of the country, because I need access to my email to retrieve codes required to open my train and travel reservations. Without email access, I’m at risk of missing paid services and being stranded while abroad. I contacted Google One support multiple times. The last person who assisted me — Sindri — abruptly closed the chat on me without resolving anything. I was shocked and disappointed by the lack of professionalism and empathy, especially given the urgency I clearly explained. I have been told to "wait 24 hours" or that someone "will contact me by email" — but after almost two months of hearing that same response, and not receiving any emails, I no longer trust that help is on the way. This situation is not only unacceptable — it has real consequences. I’ve done everything Google requested, and yet I’m being blocked from accessing a service I pay for, without support, without resolution, and with clear neglect of the urgency. I am asking that my case be escalated properly, that I receive temporary access while this is resolved, and that Google takes accountability for both the service failure and the lack of respectful support communication.

Google works with these app makers to be predators, make it easy to be charged and harder to cancel. We need government to destroy these companies, they steal hard earned money ,no chance for a refund even after an hour or two after a charge.

Thought i'd lost some important memories, the simple easy to use backup system has saved me from having a terrible experience losing photos of loved ones from one drives scummy subscription tactics.

Google One's current value proposition is significantly diminished. The previously included benefits, such as VPN access and periodic complimentary offerings (e.g., Stadia, mini speakers), are no longer provided, rendering the subscription cost disproportionate to its current features.

Google One and their «cloud services.»… BACK IT UP ON A HARD DRIVE!!! Why pay to use their servers when there’s no need to..? Google Ai is not half as effective as ChatGPT. I will never use it. So why pay for it. I believe in open source but companies like Google and Microsoft are making it harder to run open source software. There’s nothing special about the Google search engine. It skims the surface and give you a few alternatives and then comes all they think you want to see… which is not applicable at all. So even their algorithms work on a low level function. But listening to all we say for keywords is ok. Buy a hard drive and back up manually. By the way; There are no clouds.

Paid for extra storage with Google never got it.cannot get any contact details to ask for refund ...

My profile was put under review, pending ID verification, with my subscription paused despite payment being made. Has been months waiting for verification and cannot update or backup anything. What a scam.
