Wish I had seen these reviews before ordering. I ordered chair cushions from them, they arrived and were probably the worst product I've ever seen, thin as paper. Anyway when i returned them I not only got a double charge for shipping, I also got the original cost of shipping deducted from the refund. I shop online a lot and this is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I understand that I have to pay to ship it back, but to double charge and then deduct original shipping as well is just a rip off!

I have been searching for a twin bed for my daughter for her birthday. I finally found the one I wanted and it was on multiple sites, including overstock.com, amazon.com, wayfair.com. I decided to go with Overstock.com because I had a 17% off coupon in my email from them. Why didn't I just stick with Amazon and pay a little more for the good customer service I knew I would receive?! I decided to give Overstock a try and i'm so upset. The 145 lb box came last night I opened it up (excited to get it put together for my daughters birthday) and 2 of the most important pieces of wood were completely broken in half. Granted this could have happened with the carrier, I still expect good customer service from Overstock. This bed costed $320. I called Overstock and was told I have to wait 48 hours to hear from someone in the warehouse to confirm they have the parts. Excuse me?! 48 hours? I've waited 1 week for it to arrive, now I have to wait another 48 hours before I can get my issue resolved plus another week for the parts to arrive? I was upset and explained my frustration to the customer service rep. She said in a rude tone " well I wish I had the parts on my desk to send to you now, but I don't." I told her I understood that but feel this should be a top priority and not be pushed off for 48 hours. If I would have ordered this through Amazon they would have had the replacement parts in the mail same day, if not next day. But, nope, not with Overstock. I have to wait around for another 48 hours before I even know if the parts are available. I have learned to stick with Amazon. I hope people read this and decide not to use Overstock as their customer service is HORRIBLE. So, now I have a bunch of wood sprawled throughout my living room, my daughter sleeping on the floor and her not being able to have her present on her birthday because I have to wait another 48 hours to hear from Overstock regarding broken pieces plus up to another week for the replacement parts to arrive. I'd love to get a hold of a supervisor, but that was next to impossible when I was on the phone yesterday with the rude representative. I'll be putting this review on multiple platforms so people know what Overstock is really about. They just want your money - could give a care less about their customer service.

Ordered a chair. Received confirmation email and money left my account. Chair never arrived Contacted customer service via web chat, I was on chat for 1hour and disconnected 3 times. Then I called to be informed my order didn’t exist. I was then told that the item was too big to ship, which is really odd considering they are a FURNITURE company!!!! Now I have to argue to get my refund. NEVER use this store! Total waste of time and effort. I had a whole basket of items lined up for my next purchase but I certainly won’t be proceeding with my purchases. If I hadn’t kicked up a stink I’m pretty sure they would have screwed me over... be warned

Slechte ervaring! We hadden een lamp besteld van 60 cm. Ze hebben die geleverd nl een doos waar op lamp van 60 cm staat maar in die doos zat een kleinere doos en daarin zat een lamp van 45 cm dus niet die we dus betaald en gevraagd hadden. Dus speciaal die dag verlof genomen maar dus geen juiste lamp. Klacht ingediend en zeer onvriendelijk aan de lijn. Dat moet je dus allemaal via mail doen en niet via de winkel waar je het gekocht hebt. Dan een heel gedoe of wij de nieuwe levering van lamp niet wilden gaan halen in de winkel (voor ons 40 min rijden!) maar goed dat we dat niet gedaan hebben want het was weer de verkeerde! Dus opnieuw zelfde verhaal. Weer een dag vrijhouden. Weer lamp geleverd (en de nieuwe er moeten afhalen want idd opgehangen of we zaten zonder licht boven de vergadertafel). Wij lamp weer afgehaald ... de doos opengedaan en wat dacht je... doos van 60 cm met daarin een doos van 45 cm. Dus we weigerden de bestelling. Ik dat gemeld via mail dan vragen ze ons om foto's te sturen, terwijl de chauffeur die al had getrokken en we dus het pakket hebben geweigerd. Ik gaf aan in de kalender om op 30/4 de lamp opnieuw te leveren en plots op 25/4 krijg ik een bericht dat de lamp wordt geleverd tussen 12-15 u terwijl dat dat niet was afgesproken. Ik heb gevraagd voor een compensatie maar ze gaven er geen gehoor aan. Ik heb daar al zo veel gekocht maar sorry, dat is gedaan! Zo een amateuristisch gedoe! En nog een pikant detail... Ze zeggen dan dat je 30% krijgt maar dat is puur bedrog. In Hasselt hadden ze de oude prijskaarten laten staan op de artikelen. Toen we aan de kassa gingen afrekenen merkten we op dat de 30% maar 20% was. We zijn toen de prijzen gaan halen en toen zij de verkoopster oei die zijn nog niet aangepast... Dus ze verhogen eerst de prijs en geven dan een korting... Need to say more????

In maart 2018 wil ik online een volledige inboedel aanschaffen. Ik vul mijn winkelmandje en voor alle zekerheid telefoneer ik naar Kontich met de vraag of alles kan geleverd worden de 1e week van juni. Men verwijst mij door naar de klantendienst. Klantendienst laat weten dat ik bij online bestelling zélf een leverdatum kan bepalen. Ik ga verder met de online shopping en bij het overgaan tot effectieve bestelling krijg ik 3 automatisch gegenereerde leverdata (die niet strookten met mijn wens). Ik bel terug naar Kontich. De medewerkster laat weten "daar kan ik niets aan doen, dat is het systeem, wij kunnen daar niet in, bel anders eens terug naar de klantendienst" (Rijst bij mij wel de vraag hoé ze dan een leverdatum bepalen bij toonzaalverkoop) Ik mail naar de klantendienst en die verwijzen me terug naar de winkel. Ook op mijn vraag hoé lang de maximum termijn mag zijn tussen online bestellen en effectief leveren, komt een belachelijk antwoord "dat hangt af van hoeveel korting er op is". Ik antwoord "daar ben ik niets mee, wees concreter" Telefoon naar winkel, nogmaals uitgelegd dat ik enkel een levering kan ontvangen in week 22, geen avance. "Wij kunnen niet in het systeem". Soit, ik heb mn inboedel elders gekocht... waar klantvriendelijkheid, medewerking en service wél hoog in het vaandel wordt gedragen.

Ordered a dining table bench, and was assigned a FedEx tracking number. After eight days the FedEx status bar stopped halfway as item was not delivered. Got a lot of apologies from Overstock Customer Service after one of their reps. told me over the phone, "Apparently, your item never got on the truck". Replacement item was finally shipped five days after notifying O.S. Dreadful experience as the bench was for a rustic dining table in our vacation condo. I had to inconvenience two guests. I ended up making a total of three phone calls to O.S. customer service. Finally got the replacement bench delivered 4 days short of ONE MONTH. If I ran this business I would have offered some kind of discount on the replacement item. That never happened so we will look to Wayfair.com in the future. A very frustrating and unsatisfactory experience indeed!

Do NOT shop here....go to Wayfair where you will be taken care of and treated like a person. Overstock would not stand behind some seat covers we purchased. They were very difficult to talk to, hung up on us when we first called before we were even connected and treated us horrible. We see many others have experienced the same thing and wish we would have seen these reviews before we purchased something from them. We will NEVER purchase anything from Overstock again. You have been warned, we wish we had before we purchased from him.

Wij kochten vorig jaar een tuintafel bij overstock in Kontich. We betaalden extra kosten om de tafel te leveren en te monteren. Ik ging ervan uit dat een tafel ineenzetten voor deze mannen geen probleem zou zijn. Jammer genoeg zag ik pas na hun vertrek dat het tafelblad verkeerd en schuin gelijmd werd. Contact met klantendienst: trek uw plan, tafel werd perfect gemonteerd. Einde discussie. We hebben het zelf kunnen oplossen. Wij zijn geen tevreden klanten, wel jammer want het is een winkel met mooie producten.
