We enjoyed the activities that were planned for us but outside of those there wasn’t a ton of kid friendly activities that wasn’t a version of something we had already done.

We're so glad you had a great time in Savannah and enjoyed your pre-planned activities :) On top of your pre-planned activities, your trip planner will always include additional recommendations for things to do, places to see, in case you want to explore even more! Making your time your own :) Some destinations are perfect for every type of traveler as they have everything, night life, history, relaxation, kid friendly activities, etc. It seems like Savannah dropped the ball a bit on additional recommendations. If you travel with us again soon, be sure to add in the "anything else we need to know" section of your survey that you'd like a focus on kid-friendly activities, so your planner can get even more specific towards your preferences :)

There's no better way to celebrate a birthday than with a surprise trip! How exciting and new to have someone plan an entire trip for you and all you have to do is show up + enjoy? :) We're so glad you had such a great time and that we were able to make your 40th birthday even more special. Helping travelers celebrate these milestones are one of the main reasons we fell in with booking travel! Sounds like we have to top ourselves for 41 next year!

Unique, Amazing Activities
While a bit expensive, they booked unique activities that we would have never booked ourselves. And they all occurred right when we wanted them and gave us an experience we didn’t even think was possible

So much to see!
The hotel was super cool! Really helped to immerse us in the history. Now it was SUPER hot, nothing that can be done about that, but even despite that it was a blast. Our personal tour of the National Mall was so informative and inspired us to see even more! The only negative was I wish we had longer! Also, the Floriana - had the BEST garlic pesto oil for their bread and I will dream about it!

Our second getaway with this company
This was our second experience with this company. It’s always fun to be surprised with where they have us headed. This time it was to Baltimore where we had a lovely suite in a downtown hotel, a food tour included, and many, many suggestions for other things to do while we were in the city. Dinner reservations were already made for our first night, simplifying our arrival. The food tour was a four-hour walking tour through the Fells Point neighborhood with four restaurant stops and a knowledgeable guide who told us about the history and architecture of the area. All in all, we were very happy with our weekend. The only drawback was the distance. For a three-day weekend, Baltimore was too far from our CT home and we really spent two days driving. In the future, I’ll make it a four-day trip or ask for something a bit closer to home.

Our pre-arranged plans, including flights, hotel, activity, and dinner reservations, were greatly appreciated.
We enjoyed exploring the town on e-bikes, despite the 100 degree weather.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were pleasant.
We also thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the first restaurant.

Destination
Choosing Savannah as a mid-summer destination was questionable. While we understand that "you can't control the weather," Savannah's July climate is consistently very hot and humid. This made outdoor exploration, a key part of the city's appeal, quite challenging.
Hotel location
The hotel's location was a significant drawback, being a 20-minute walk from the town center. Due to the high temperatures, we were compelled to use Uber for transportation into town. We question why a hotel in a more central location wasn't chosen. Had budget been a concern, we would have willingly allocated more funds for a more convenient location, had we been consulted on this.
The element of surprise
We had planned to open the envelope together on Friday morning. However, Teddy inadvertently opened the email we received at midnight, believing it contained necessary information, and wasn't aware it would reveal the location. To prevent this in the future, perhaps be more explicit that the email contains the destination. (subject line or opening line of the email) perhaps with a clear warning such as "STOP HERE UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO SEE YOUR DESTINATION."
Flights
We had requested to be seated together on our flights. We were initially told this would require a $200 upgrade, but upon arriving at the airport, we were able to change our seats for only $45.

We understand the weather was not ideally + do apologize about that, with a lot of states crossed off your list as already visited we try to get you somewhere new with Savannah. We did check with you on airline arrangements + included that you would be staying at a standard hotel within the current budget + you had chosen to stay with your current + move forward that way. The flight costs change every day so we're glad to hear you were able to adjust the seats day of for a cheaper price, which is usually the case if they don't sell out + are able to make those changes day of! Apologies about the email being unclear as well, this has been passed on! Hopefully we can plan another trip for you in the future!
