Hello A.J.W.! My name is Natalie and I'm Head of Customer Operations at Pathrise. Firstly, thank you for your review. While it's a bummer to read that someone was disappointed with our service, I also feel a ton of gratitude that it's been brought to our attention and we have the opporutnity to address it. I'll followup with an email to you but I wanted to address a couple of things publicly, since we rely on our reviews in part to let prospective fellows know what working with us is like.
Firstly, I do want to address that there are different program tiers and tuition amounts. We also do offer folks discounts to enroll for many reasons: they let us know their financial situation would prohibit them from enrolling so we offer them a scholarship, they had a less-than-perfect experience in Trial and we want to address that (just like when you go to a restaurant, e.g., and your entree arrives less-than-perfect, you may get a discount on your bill or a free dessert!), and more. This is in no way meant to be a secret nor is it in any way unethical from our perspective.
Next, I want to address two things: the role you secured and the job lists. Since you stopped working with us in April of 2023, we have updated our program offerings quite a bit. Because you were also working with us at the Essentials plan, we weren't sourcing or applying to jobs for you. It is absolutely advised -- and required -- at all plan levels that fellows job search while at Pathrise: we're here to support, guide, and provide resources and a framework to increase your chances of receiving an offer.
Finally, regarding your offer, specifically. In our contract, it is noted that we consider placement as a job that meets our income threshold. We also don't require that folks accept an offer that's not optimal for them and again, at the tier you were working with us at, we don't offer negotiation support baked into the plan offerings. With that being said, and to come back to an earlier point, we're here to discuss this with you and work on a resolution together. I'm sorry you felt you had to go to Trustpilot to get a response instead of reaching out to our support team. I don't see any emails from you outlining your dissatisfaction in our [email protected] inbox but I'll be anxious to hear if you attempted to reach out elsewhere and weren't replied to. Again, I'll be in touch today! I'm looking forward to connecting and making this right for you!
