I am due to be going away on Friday for 4 days. I joined Pawshake to look for a local cat sitter to check and feed our two cats. The first arranged to meet us on Tuesday, then cancelled on Monday saying she had to work. The second, knowing we were in a fix due to that cancellation, arranged the meet tomorrow night and contacted me at 10.30 tonight to cancel, saying she doesn’t drive. I politely advised her that she should have checked our address before agreeing to help. I am now one day away from a trip I can’t cancel, stressed and let down. Proceed with caution with this so called service, especially if you have no back up. Both sitters have let themselves down as well as the brand. Not good at all. Edit: in response to the reply below, both sitters told me they DID have availability and then let me down. I would have no problem whatsoever with someone saying they didn’t have availability from the start.

Hi Jo, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, and we're so sorry you didn't have a good experience this time. Please note that all our pet sitters are real community members who have extensive experience and love of caring for animals. As such, we recommend getting in touch with a few sitters early enough to check their availability, secure a booking slot and arrange a meet and greet beforehand. Unfortunately, the first two sitters you reached out to didn't have availability at such short notice. However, it looks like the third sitter you contacted did have availability. As mentioned it's essential to discuss arranging a meet and greet before booking to make sure you have found the right match. It appears in this case, however, that no booking or meet and greet was arranged. I hope this helps explain our process a little better. Safety is our number one priority, so we really want to emphasise the need to allow time for that essential meet and greet before booking. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team at any time. We'd be happy to answer any questions you may have or clarify the process further. Warm regards, Jack Pawshake Support

Hartelijke groet, Jack Pawshake-ondersteuning

A good reliable service, where I was able to message and meet with the provider before the booking was completed with no time pressure.

I had an easy time navigating their site and connecting with, interviewing, and hiring a house/dog sitter. Will likely use again.

Olisi jäänyt hyvä koirahoitola löytymättä ilman tätä sovellusta.

We've returned from a week away and we're so happy with the service. We hired Nicole to look after our 2 kitties for a week, with a visit per day. We recieved daily pictures and updates which was lovely, they were well looked after and didn't miss us at all 🤣 thank you. We will definitely be booking again in future.
