This is by far the worse company I ever had business with! they don't give a F about you as a customer! they just want to rip u off over and over, and no matter how many times you try to resolve the issue u always losing this battle. they Charged me $400dls to replace a nozzle i already knew was clogged, and that previously bought on Amazon for $15dls, but i didn't have at the moment that got clogged again, called them, told the tech the issue ahead, took 15 minutes to replace it, then i got this bill, i complained about this overcharge but instead they send me to a collection, to avoid farther inconvenient , paid everything including late fees!....i hope this business collapses

My tanks are on zero, they never came to fill, I called 3 days ago, they promised to deliver the next day, they never came, I have my thermostat on real low to squeak through, I am on day 3 and still waiting. This will be the last time I use them. No honesty here at all. When I am on the brink of running out they should put me first on the list, instead of risking running out completely on a 19 degree day. yuck!

Worst company ever. Do not engage in any type of business with this company from oil deliveries to repairs. These guys are total scams. Once you sign up with them, you’re done. Charge extra fees and can’t get out of contract without being charged again. STAY AWAY

Nothing but problems are issues with this company from the beginning. Had them install a brand new boiler supposed to be " top of the line" and promised we'd never have any issues with it.. have had 2 incidents where the boiler shut down where we were left without heat and it's only a two years old. We were changed 1,200 dollars for repairs. No one ever told us the price of anything just installed it and expected us to sign for the bill. Enrolled in there ceiling plan for oil only to ALWAYS be charged 2 dollars more a gallon than all competitors. Oh, and if you want to get out of the plan early because you can't afford paying 800 for oil every 2 months it's a 500 dollar charge. Last delivery they told us we needed one more oil delivery before canceling ( which isn't true). So we called back to cancel and still got the oil. Call to speak about it and they conveniently have no notes on the conversation. Stay FAR away from this company. They are an absolute nightmare to work with and vastly overcharge.

Worst service I’ve ever have experienced. They wanted to sell me the product, never told me that there was an early termination fee and another penalty for an initial offer they gave me. Had double charges every month, once for the oil they provided (which they never told me they were going to provide before coming. They just came without my knowledge and then I find a high amount bill) and another for an “automatic payment” for 500 that they never could explain. The didn’t even fix this issue and it kept happening every month even after I cancelled the service. Then having to call them is a hastié for the refund of the 500. Stay away of this company

DO NOT, UNDER *ANY* CIRCUMSTANCES, DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They ripped me off for almost $2000 and I am OUTRAGED. I had a 30-year-old oil furnace in the home I purchased in April 2020 and decided (stupidly, as it turns out) to use Petro for oil deliveries and service. I bitterly regret this decision now. The furnace was making a horrible noise when it was warming up, so I called Petro out to fix it. I was told replacing the blower and adding tiger loops (for a grand total of $1427) would fix the issue, so I had the work done. The next time I turned the thing on, the original noise was gone, and now a new and even worse noise was happening. So I called them again, and this time I was told the entire unit needed replacing. WHY THE HELL DIDN"T THEY TELL ME THAT BEFORE I SPENT THE INITAL $1427? They're supposed to be experts, that's why I hired them, and instead they ripped me off for $1427 and then told me I had to spend another $12,000 to get the thing replaced. I did end up getting another company to come in and replace the furnace and switched from oil to natrual gas. Then this morning, I got a call from Petro saying I now owed them an additional $400 for early termination of the contract! I am so angry about this I am seeing red. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau about this because they STOLE from me and I'm not going to take it lying down. Learn from my mistakes, everyone. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT do business with these crooks. ETA on September 16, 2026: OMG LOLOL, why did Petro respond to this review FIVE AND A HALF YEARS LATER?
