Must have training materials & book!
First, the back story: I've taken boot camp type classes (series of 3 classes) locally, read the PMBOK along with both Ritas and Andy's books. I also signed up for a different online training program to help prepare for the PMP exam. All of it- ALL. OF. IT.- was extremely boring, did not hold my interest and I did not feel as though I was retaining the material. Facing a long road trip a couple of days before my exam, I searched audible for something that could help me spend this time productively. I discovered the PMP Prep book and begrudgingly purchase extra credits just to download it. Well, I was in for a SHOCK! It is tremendous! He is actually EXCITED about the PMP material- a miracle to say the least! The author teaches you the material while telling you a story about Jon. No memorizing ITTOs, no learning stupid sayings to try to remember names of knowledge areas; just Jon and his 49 factories that light up the world. THIS is how my brain retains information. My only regret was not finding the book sooner. I also utilized the study tools on his website over a period of 3 days (about 24 hours of study time). I crammed up until the moment I walked into the testing center and I PASSED! I firmly believe without finding these tools that would NOT have occurred. If you are looking for resources that will truly help you prepare to pass the test as well as retain the information to utilize in your career the PMP Master Prep is for you!
