I have only used two different power meters so all I can base my opinion on are those two. I have had zero problems with my Quarqs. I encountered a problem with one trying to update it. When I called in for help the technician stayed with me on the phone till the job was done. If I were buying another meter tomorrow it would be a Quarq.

I have been using the quark dzero power meter this last year on my TT bike, which I also use on the turbo. Lot of hours use and all hassle free. Straight onto the bike it paired up and has never failed to work. Which is not the case with all power meters! Cost is expensive but it is well made and reliable.

Easy to instal, setup and maintain. Reliable in use. My new Carbon Road Bike had an entry level alloy Crankset and I opted to upgrade it to Carbon using a Quarq DZero Carbon Power Meter for a BB30 Bracket. Installation was simply slipping the old out and the new Quarq in, it took less time than removing the Chainwheel from the old Chainset and fitting it to the Quarq. All the Fastenings needed are included in the package. The 'Hidden Bolt' version had been chosen because it was available 'off the shelf', and I also took the opportunity to drop to a 170mm Crank Length with a view to improving my average Cadence. With the Qalvin BLE App installed on my mobile phone the guided setup was straightforward. The App immediately found the Power Meter and from then on it is simply a case of following on screen instructions. Given the limitations of phone screen sizes the 'Firmware Update' option was not visible without scrolling right down to the bottom of the list. Processing the update was also very straightforward. In daily use movement of the cranks brings the Quarq to life. In my case, if Garmin have updated the Edge Software the Quarq is set to enquire if I wish to 'Calibrate', alternatively a manual calibration can be initiated. Other than that the Garmin recognises the Quarq and offers a host of Data Capture facilities. The Quarq has encouraged me to regain and then gradually improve my fitness. Cadence has increased well beyond my expectations. In my view it is certainly the way to go for reliability.

My quarq is great only wish I new how to calibrate it the best way and have at least some guide lines as to if it - 3 or +3 is better for more accurate settings and data, do I calibrate my Garmin every ride do I calibrate my Quarq every ride, Don't really know, all I can say is my power is down by 30 watts since January and my average speed is up by 1-2 mph figure that out, overall I feel stronger now that January but my power is down?? All I can say is it's a nice piece of Equipment. Thank you Quarq for you nice products..Quality etc christopheB
