Quasar ExpeditionsReviews of quasarex.com

Quasar Expeditions is hands down the leader of Galapagos expedition cruises! I was skeptical whether I'd enjoy a cruise (I was on the Evolution), but was determined to experience the wonders of the Galapagos. I did my homework and it paid off in spades! Quasar's expertise, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and 5-star accommodations truly did make this a trip of a lifetime. Look no further--if you want to experience the Galapagos with the best guides and an impeccable crew, book your trip with Quasar.

We did a great deal of research on companies that toured the Galápagos Islands via yacht. Our choice in selecting Quasar was well made. The staff In the USA answered each question and made good recommendations on where to stay in Ecuador. All shuttles and flights were handled for us. Once on the Evolution, we were very satisfied with the condition of the yacht, cabin, open areas and pangas. The food was delicious and presented nicely. The yacht was very clean and the crew constantly cleaning. The guides were extremely knowledgeable. The nightly briefing interesting. It is obvious that the crew enjoys what they are doing. The captain was available and even went snorkeling with the passengers and played soccer with his crew when we were on shore. This was a trip of a lifetime and I would HIGHLY recommend selecting Quasar.

A wonderful experience of a lifetime.

One of the best vacations our family has taken (to the point that we went back for a second week)! The staff is amazing as are the accomodations and the islands!

A terrific experience, as I stated to a friend, the trip of a life time for an inexperienced traveler. The accommodations cramped (today's standards) yet not to be missed. Management, crew, guide and captain superb knowledgeable, well versed and accessible. All other amenities very good appearing to be provided effortlessly. The physical tour was well guided, planned ( for the most part) of this jewel one to be treasured and valued for its flora, fauna island formations and certainly location. The country of Ecuador needs to continue with its efforts of protecting and cherishing this special area of the world. If I were an experienced traveler I may have rated this at 5 stars, having other adventures from which to judge, however this is not the case. I must say do not pass this up based upon my personal experience.

From start to finish our experience with Quasar was excellent. From the booking process, to the trip review when we arrived in Puerto Natales to the follow up at the end of our trip, the service was personalized, friendly and highly detailed. Each partner location we stayed at shared a unique aspect of the country and excellent service as well as the most amazing landscapes I have ever seen. Travelling through the park we saw guests touring the area on large tour busses with dozens of other people, it was so nice to be able to experience the amazing areas at our own pace without throngs of people around us. I would highly recommend Quasar to anyone looking for a unique and memorable trip. They think of everything from detailed daily guides, preprogrammed GPS coordinates and even provide a cooler full of snacks and drinks and a picnic kit in the jeep. I just got home and am already planning my next trip to Patagonia!

Trip taken October 2016, good communication, lots of pre-trip information - all helpful. The Evolution was nicely appointed with lots of amenities - kayaks, wetsuits, snorkel gear, hot tub. Food was very good and plentiful. Staff was excellent and tour guides extremely knowledgeable. Really felt taken care of. Enjoyed having a larger boat with fewer passengers - cruising was great and not as tight as some ships can be. Also 2 naturalists to choose from and you do not always have to be with the same guide or guests - creates some variety a chance to meet like minded travellers and also a good way to provide for those who are more experienced at activities. The Evolution is an older restored ship - rooms were a good size, bathroom nice, but amount of light into room minimal - would have liked a larger window or deck. I would cruise with them again.

Our trip on the Evolution went above and beyond our many dreams of visiting the Galápagos Islands. We were treated like royalty, pampered each day with gentle morning greetings, fed like queens and kings! The panga rides to snorkel, hike, and explore were set for our gaining knowledge, safety and enjoyment! And on our return from each adventure a nice hot tub was ready with hot cocoa or a cold beer! Birthdays were acknowledged and celebrated! Wow, would do this again!
