REP Provisions is a direct-to-consumer meat delivery company. We raise grass-fed and grass-finished beef, soy and corn free pork and lamb. We also provide no-soy pasture-raised chicken. All of our animals are free from antibiotic and mRna vaccines. Our farms are chemical free meaning we don't use fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides. Our mission is to regenerate America's grasslands and improve ecosystem health by supporting local regenerative farms to build a more resilient and transparent food system. We have been safely delivering regenerative, nutrient-dense clean protein to 48 states for more than 5 years.

First time ordering from Rep Provisions. The order came quickly and was packed well. However, I was disappointed in the size of the NT strips. It says it was 10 oz but was more like 7 oz. There’s also a large fat strip on the cut of strip. I also cooked the ribeye for myself. Both pieces of meat were tough. I expected more since I thought this was prime meats. I haven’t tried any of the other meats in the box but if it’s anything like the strip or ribeye unfortunately I will not be purchasing again. I always like supporting small businesses, but I can get better quality meats at a little higher price at our local Son of a Butcher shop in Birmingham.

Hi Sherri, Thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry to hear you haven’t had a great experience so far. Typically we have great feedback on our steaks, so we are very sorry this didn’t happen for you. We do ask, as stated on the paper we placed inside your box and our website, to please reach out to us anytime there are any issues with any of the products. This is the only way we can understand what you received and to properly resolve a potential problem. If you have any photos you could email us, that would be very helpful. Grass fed, grass finished steaks do have their own challenges when cooking the perfect steak, as they are very different from a grass fed, grain finished steak. Since we don’t feed any grain, consistency is difficult. It’s extremely difficult to make every beef finish exactly the same each time and it will vary from beef to beef due to genetic differences or seasonal differences in grass species they are grazing at the time. So although it’s the healthiest way to eat beef, and even though you may have had grass finished beef before, one grass finished beef may not always be as tender as the next, one may have more fat than another or one may look different than another. We do have prep and cooking tips we like to share with our customers to maximize tenderness. If you have any of those steaks left, please reach out to us and let us know and we will be happy to share those tips with you. Thank you again for giving us a try Sherri. You did great as usual but it was even better this time because of the BEEF BACON!! Now if only you could add beef breakfast sausage I’d be even happier. All the recipes out there just don’t taste right.

We were overall pleased with what we received. One of the filets honestly didn’t look like a filet but we trust that it is. Our only real complaint is that two of the packages have had a hole in them somewhere because when thawing blood leaked out everywhere. Now I thaw the meat in a bowl as a precaution.

Hi Jennifer! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback! We’re happy you were overall pleased and so sorry about the leaking packages and your concern with the filet. Inside each box, we include a paper called “Good Things to Know” with important information about your products when they arrive. One of the things we explain is that the packaging can become brittle from the extreme cold and develop small holes as the frozen products move against each other during transit. For this reason, we recommend placing a plate underneath the meat while thawing to catch any leaks. We’re very sorry for the mess this caused! We support small family owned processors who hand cut our steaks, so there can be some variation in shape and appearance. We would love for you to reach out with a photo of the filet so we can better understand what you received. Thank you for supporting our small family farms and regenerative agriculture. Chuck roast usually needs to cook low and slow until it becomes fork tender, but we would love to know how you prepared it so we can better understand your experience.
