Hi, John,
Thanks for checking out our Reputation Report Card!
We are sorry the experience wasn't a good one for you. Hopefully, we can explain what happened in your case.
Our scan simply finds what Google shows people when they search for your name. If your report card contains information about other people (which often happens with common names), it means your online presence isn't strong enough to distinguish you from those other people.
Your search engine results should paint a thorough, accurate, and engaging picture of who you are and what you do. If you aren't even showing up when people look for you, then that is indeed a "fail."
To improve your Report Card and make a great first impression on the individuals and organizations looking you up online, you need to thoughtfully construct a robust online reputation. You can do this by creating a well-designed personal website, strategically posting on social media, and generating content that appeals to search algorithms. This encourages Google to rank your content higher, pushing down the irrelevant results so that you "own" the first page of search results, beyond which few searchers ever look.
We help people define themselves online in this way. If you have any questions about how to improve your search results, please give us a call. We are happy to offer free advice.
