I was definitely a little skeptical about utilizing Rover as a baby sitter locator but it all turned out well in the end! I have been using the same sitter for the last year and she has been great. Rover themselves has been great also.

It's a great service for connecting pet owners and sitters. The screening and booking process is easy enough. They have a referral link to give a friend a $20 credit and you get one when they book. A friend told me about the service by word of mouth and I immediately saw the referral link, but customer service refused to give us the credit - for that reason I'm docking them a star. A company with GREAT customer service would have been happy to do that for us.

My usual house/dog-sitters had a sudden family emergency, and they cancelled on me with less than a week to spare. I was able to find a terrific fill-in who I may use again soon! My only problem was that most of the people looking for house/dog sitting gigs did not have up-to-date calendars. I contacted about 15 people through Rover, and only three were actually available. Rover needs to push their dog sitters to keep their calendars accurate.

Was able to find a dog sitter last minute when our usual had to cancel. She took great care of our dog, stayed in touch and sent photos regularly.
