App is difficult to navigate and takes too long to get through. Like the sitter but not the app.

Rover is not as great as Dog Vacay was - unfortunately they took over DV and it's never been the same. Sitters didn't really follow through on requests to sit my dog or even showed up to walk him. So I just altogether stopped using them and now my doggie is a member of Downtown Doggie Spa, Camp Bow Wow, and Woofs and wags. Whenever he is not on vacation with my husband and I he is at one of the above.

Rover is a great option in a pinch, but beware when hiring house sitters for your vacation. Rover does not seem to do any type of screening, training or background checks. Anyone can advertise as a sitter or dog walker and the Rover Guarantee is pretty non-existent if the sitter causes damage to your home or doesn’t provide good care for your pets.

The app is really difficult to use and often directs me to sitters who are unavailable. It was hard to select individual dates within a week without booking a sitter for every day of the week. I am appalled that Rover takes 20% of the sitter's fee and in return provides a haphazard referral service.

Absolutely loved our dog walker. But unreal the extra fee we are charged on top of hourly listed !

The pet sitting options are great as both a sitter and someone who needs occasional assistance with their dog. The fact that there's an in-person meeting with a Rover employee and a background check makes me feel much better about the sitters. However toggling between user and sitter profiles leaves a lot to be desired. It was difficult to book a sitter for my dog from my predominantly Rover service provider profile.

Very happy with the pet sitter I found and the options and detailed filters. The website, however, is not so great. It’s harder than it should be to pull up current reservations, review a stay, edit request details, etc.
