Lost my data and expected me to make a ticket for compensation
I don't know why I didn't listen to people when told me to not go with RubyHost because of the previous times they had their service nuked by a 14 year old and that Shaum previous hosts failed due to data breaches and more. At the start the host was okay, prices were cheap but the Europe downtime and loss of data changed that. Seeing their other location have downtime for days and the lack of communication either through email or on discord beyond some comment blaming some dude that cant defend themself. If a host lost my data the least a host can do is give me compensation automatically or at least a refund but rather inconvenience us busy server owners by making us open a ticket (Still 0 email about this so you'd need to be in the discord) and ask for compensation. I don't get what went wrong and hope the company does better.

Hey John, We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and the frustration it caused. We understand how critical data integrity and uptime are to our users, and we deeply regret the inconvenience and stress this situation brought you. While we did communicate about the incident in Discord and made compensation available via support tickets, we acknowledge that this process could have been more proactive and inclusive, especially for users who aren’t active on Discord. That’s on us, and we’re already working on better communication systems, including more direct outreach via email during outages or emergencies. As for past issues mentioned, we understand the concerns and skepticism. RubyHost has grown rapidly and, with that, faced growing pains. But we’re committed to learning from every failure. Since then, we’ve brought on additional security expertise, improved our infrastructure, and are investing heavily in reliability across all locations. We value your feedback as it helps us get better. If you’re still open to it, please reach out to me directly at [email protected]. We’d like the chance to make things right.
