Hey Paul,
I tried to work on this with you as all of the features you requested are already available. You had contacted me 24 hours after you had subscribed and after making several different meal plans with 3 main contentions:
1. You wanted something that was more family-based.
2. You wanted to browse recipes based on an ingredient.
3. You wanted to share recipes with your wife (as well as create a shopping list based on the recipes you chose)
All 3 of those features are available within the meal planner as explained to you in our e-mail exchange.
1. You can input how many people are being cooked for which will multiply the meals in your plan by however many people you enter.
2. You can browse recipes based on an ingredient, meal timing, meal type, or cuisine. You can use the filter feature to browse by ingredient type (i.e. chicken, beef, vegetarian, etc.) or you can enter those individual ingredients in the search bar to find recipes using those ingredients.
3. You can either save or print the recipes in your plan. A weekly shopping list is also created based on the meals chosen that you can either save or print.
Our app is what's known as a progressive web app, which is allowed to be put in the app/play store and is considered a real app.
I'm very sorry to hear you believe this is a scam, but the meal plans you created are tailored for your macros and fit within your requirements.
To address your update:
We have over 1500 recipes in the meal planner, but not all of them will be able to fit within your required macros or meal preferences.
For example, you have your meal timings set to the minimum possible time, so most baked recipes (like casseroles, pies, and frittatas), soups, instant pot, and slow cooker recipes will not be included in your plan. If you start avoiding main food groups (like dairy, or meat, for example), then fewer recipes will be usable.
Not every recipe can be scaled to fit into the required macros of your profile as well. Some recipes will have different ratios of fat to protein and won't be a good fit for your plan. For example, you have 'Active' selected under your activity level, so your protein requirements are higher than most people on keto - this will disallow the lower protein meals that we have.
Additionally, the surrounding meals make a difference in the available meals. For example, if you choose a higher fat and lower protein breakfast recipe, the lunch and dinner will need to be higher in protein and lower in fat to compensate for this. Depending on the meals you choose, different recipes will be available for the remaining meals.
With all of that considered, an average of 75 meal choices in each category is a good amount of variety, considering your profile and time requirements. You could create over a year's worth of meal plans with that amount of recipes if you are choosing to have some leftovers (which it looks like you do, based on your profile).
There are certain circumstances where meal plans cannot be created (when every food category is avoided - i.e. vegan), or if there's a mistake in the user macros. In the cases where meal plans cannot be generated, we offer refunds to those customers. I do not recommend our meal planner for vegan keto users as we just don't have enough vegan recipes to support a full plan.
As far as the shopping list goes, you can save the shopping list as a PDF file to view any time and without an internet connection. There is a large, blue 'Download' button at the top of the shopping list page that you can always keep for a backup just in case you don't have internet when shopping. You can access the saved PDF shopping list without an internet connection.
Again, I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed but you've already created over 5 meal plans that were specifically scaled to fit your set of macros. Our meal planner is designed with your macros in mind, and I believe based on how many meal plans you've created, we have fulfilled that promise.
