Whenever there is a fit issue of any type (which does happen from time to time), we work diligently to resolve the issue. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and resolving any and all issues quickly and to the customer's satisfaction.
In this case however, Mark Voytac demanded to write his own Sartoro rules and policies on the threat of slandering us across the internet if we did not meet his demands.
He had an issue with his fit. We informed the customer that we cover the cost of alterations OR provide a free remake, not both. For most people this is quite easy to comprehend. Mark however did not grasp this. After emailing us that his local tailor was confident in making the necessary adjustments, he had those adjustments completed. But then he decided that he still wasn't happy and demanded we issue a remake instead.
In the interest of making him happy, we obliged and issued the remake with the new measurements he provided and assured us were correct. He received the remake and was still not pleased. We asked him to measure the garments in the areas we adjusted, and they matched what he requested. His provided measurements were wrong.
Despite this being an error on his part, in line with our policies we offered to do YET ANOTHER free remake or to cover the cost of alterations on this second suit. He declined and demanded to write his own Sartoro policies - threatening that if we didn't provide a full refund as well as reimbursement for the alterations cost, he would "make it his mission to slander us across the internet".
As we understand it's just impossible to make every single person happy and because he seemed quite bent on destroying our reputation, we advised we would provide the refund - all we asked was that he send back the garments (we provided the shipping label).
He did ship them back, but while they were in transit, he filed a credit card dispute, which immediately removes the funds from our account (plus a fee) - meaning there is physically no money attached to the order to be refunded while the credit card company reviews the dispute.
Realizing he made this far more complicated than it needed to be, he "allegedly" cancelled the dispute and went right back to demanding the full refund plus alterations fee. We told him over the course of no less than six emails he sent us that while we are happy to honor the refund, until the money comes back into our account (if it ever does, which can take up to 75 days when disputes are filed) there was no way to refund him - his bank is holding the cash.
The vast vast majority of Sartoro customers are extremely happy with the quality and service we provide. We just wanted to be done with this person and go our separate ways. In this case, the customer is trying to extort us for a double refund - he has his money back already from filing a dispute and wants us to refund him again on top.
Don't be like this person. We love working with our customers and providing exceptional experiences, but it's always painful to deal with the occasional Mark Voytac.
