I am cancelling out my previous opinion relative to Savelights.com. I took the lamp shade to a local glass company and the shade is indeed glass, as described. It is a beautiful lamp. My apologies to Savelights.

Had reservations, but overall a pleasant experience. Just wish that description was a little more detailed. Wished they had mentioned it was not a dimmable item.
