I had a great experience working with Shemmassian's MCAT tutoring service. My tutor, Kshitiz, was excellent. He was able to identify my weaker areas and provide me with concrete goals to address them during our weekly meetings. He also created a personalized MCAT study plan that worked with my schedule. I studied for the MCAT while working in a research lab and completing hospital shifts, so having Kshitiz help me organize my study materials, space out my workload, and adjust my plan as needed was incredibly helpful. He also helped me adapt my approach as I progressed through my preparation, using my practice exam results to identify areas that needed more attention and refine my study plan. This made my preparation more efficient and ensured that I was consistently working toward specific goals. Shemmassian pairs students with tutors based on a survey completed at the start of the process, and I felt that this helped me find a tutor who was a great fit for my needs. With Kshitiz's guidance, I improved my MCAT score from a 512 to a 521 on test day. If you are looking for a service that provides structure, effective strategies, and confidence heading into test day, I highly recommend Shemmassian.

Medical school interview coaching helped refine what skills I was missing to be a competitive applicant, and gave me confidence in myself to thrive in my interview (special thank you to Dr. Cruz and Shemmassian for all of their support throughout this process, if I ever need more preparation in the future I know where to look! :)

I would absolutely recommend this company. My meetings with my tutor helped me structure MCAT studying and completely changed the way that I strategized about specific questions. This was the most consequential aspect of all of my studying: shifting my perspective that the MCAT is a knowledge exam to the fact that it is very much so a logic exam that tests how you think. Tutors are selected for each person based on a survey, and I think that mine was a very good personality match. I liked the ability to drive my own sessions and focus on areas of weakness to maximize session time. Because of all of these factors, I was able to score a 520, nine points higher than my lowest practice exam, which I did not think would be possible when I first started this process.

I had a great experience with Shemmassian's MCAT tutoring. I appreciated how individualized and flexible the sessions were, both with scheduling and with focusing on the areas I needed extra help with. My tutor was incredibly knowledgable, explained difficult concepts clearly, and always adjusted to what I needed. She was also very supportive throughout the process and genuinely wanted me to succeed. I would highly recommend Shemmassian to anyone looking for personalized MCAT prep.

We cannot say enough good things about how professional Shemmassian Consulting was. We were a bit skeptical going in as we did not have the best experience with college counseling as our child transitioned from high school to college. We also did not have specific references to count on when we reached out to Shemmassian. That being said the following 6 months was worth every cent and some. Our child received multiple interviews and eventually a couple of really good offers. The staff consulting with these kids are exemplary. I cannot recommend them enough.

They have an outstanding team of advisors who provide expert guidance from the very beginning of the application process all the way through receiving your admission. Every dollar spent is well worth the investment. Dr. Shemmassian, Dr. Jothishanker, Dr. Ajit Subhash, and Mr. Powell are highly experienced professionals who offered us invaluable advice and support throughout the journey. Their expertise and dedication played a significant role in our success. I highly recommend their services to anyone applying to medical school.

I am thrilled to start medical school next month at UCLA DGSoM! As a non-traditional student, I was very unfamiliar with the entire application process and felt the resources at my local university/AAMC were inadequate in preparing students for the entire process. I searched online and felt Shemmassian was the perfect fit and a smart investment for my future success. I started my journey to medicine in 2023 and the Shemmassian team was with me the entire way, providing encouragement when I needed it most. Both my advisor and writing coach were pivotal to my success. They both helped to tailor the most important parts of my application, which ultimately resulted in multiple acceptances. Thank you for everything and I hope to pay it forward in some capacity! -Kelsey

I remember feeling stuck, like my dream was over before i even had the chance to begin. I saw an ad for Shemmassian Consulting and wound up speaking to the big man himself, who made me feel very reassured. He didn't pressure me or sell anything, he just empathized with a student doing her best, who had much to offer the world but didn't know how to put it on paper. I worked with them for around 1 year and at every step, every tiny little detail of my application. I felt they were flexible and kind, and personal. I appreciate their help and am now an incoming resident. :) Dream come true, mission complete.
