Sleepypod was the only harness that was crash safety tested to the same standards as child car seats and certified by independent agencies to be safe. I have a big dog and I needed him to be safe while in the car for him and everyone else. I used the harness and it was a breeze to set up. My dog was comfortable, he was able to sit and lie down as he pleased. Initially my first order got stuck somewhere and SleepyPod customer service quickly resolved the issue by expediting a new order and having it shipped express. The harness may be pricey but it’s 100% worth it!

Both harnesses i recieved were really well constructed. The fit was really great on one cat but was a tad big around the neck for my second cat. I expected that though- her neck and chest measurements put her in different sizes. Havent tested them outside of the house yet...its to cold yet bit ill be ordering leashes when spring rolls aouund

Our dog is an ADA service dog. Where I go, she goes, so a safe and proper restraint is a necessity. Sleepy Pods customer service was quick to respond to questions and to process my order. I purchased a large harness seat restraint for my German Shepherd dog. The harness was easy to adjust to a perfect fit, but not as easy as other harnesses to put on and off. Fortunately, my dog is accustomed to harnesses and travel, so it's not too bad and takes little effort to prepare for transport. Securing the harnessed dog to the seatbelt in the back seat of the car is the challenge. It still takes two people for this job to keep the dog in precisely the correct position and buckle a testy seatbelt. Once in place, the dog is very safely secured and mission accomplished. Our dog can comfortably sit up or lay down. She can no longer unbuckle herself or loosen the restraint to get near the front seat. However, on longer trips, when she is tired of her only two positions, she does manage to twist herself around and get stuck, requiring me to stop, remove her from the back seat and untangle her harness and the twisted up seatbelt. This is a serious headache and dangerous on the side of a road. It occurs despite the perfect fit of the harness and tight security of the seatbelt. Because of the excellent quality of the construction of the harness and speedy response of the customer service, I give this harness a well deserved four stars. The reason I did not give a full five stars is due to the difficulty of attaching the dog in the seatbelt and then keeping the dog in correct position for the duration of the trip. If you have any suggestions for keeping the dog from turning around in her seatbelt, I would sure appreciate the tips. We are full time travelers, so car safety is very important to us. Customer Service is horrid. They never call back or answer their phone during business hours. They send tracking numbers that never leave the warehouse. Accounts that need to be reset to make an order are never resolved. Great product that will vanish if this utter nonsense continues.

I have been a Sleepypod customer for 8 years. I have two westies who travel in the car with me every day and I wanted to make sure they would be safe. They have been in their pods since the day they came home with us. They love them! We frequently make car trips that are 4-10 hours and they just curl up and sleep in between potty/walk breaks. The pods are well made and easy to wash. I highly recommend!
