It has come to my attention that you were denied check-in at the hotel due to their pet policy. I sincerely apologize that this happened, this is not a situation we wished you would have with the hotel. Shawn, who has been diligently managing your case, made every effort to secure a refund on your behalf. Regrettably, despite our best attempts, Selena at the hotel front desk informed us that the hotel management had declined the refund request. The hotel justifies their decision based on the absence of pet-friendly information on their website, emphasizing the need for fact-checking reviews against official policies. Having a pet myself, I empathize with your situation and acknowledge the disappointment this has caused. Hello Kenneth,  Thank you for taking the time to reach out to SmarterTravel's customer care team earlier today regarding the issue you faced with your room assignment at the Comfort Inn and Suites. We are sincerely disappointed that we could not get your room moved to a suite as requested and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are disheartened to hear that you did not find the room that the hotel assigned you to your standards. Upon reaching out to the hotel on your behalf, we learned from Nady, the front desk agent, that the room you booked—specifically a Nonsmoking, Accessible 2 Queen Bed accommodation—was the one provided to you during check-in. Regrettably, since the room booked via our site was the one you were given upon check-in we were unable to compel the hotel to give you the complimentary upgrade to a suite that you requested. Nady also confirmed that although the word "Suites" is in the hotel's name, not all rooms at the hotel are suites, some are standard rooms. We understand this may have caused confusion, and we regret that we couldn't address this situation in a manner that met your expectations. Our team genuinely wishes there were more options available, but our efforts were blocked by the hotel who maintained that there was no error in your room assignment. Your frustration is understandable, and we empathize with your situation.
