About The Solid Wood Cabinet
“Everyone always asks... how can you afford to charge so little for such a high quality product?”Here’s our story...the Solid Wood Cabinet Company is a “factory-direct” retail company, established in 2002, that has sold over one million cabinets. Last year we delivered over 4,000 Dream Kitchens. Our products are sourced directly from our factories worldwide to our 160,000 square foot assembly facility where we stock over 100,000 cabinets and build over 1,500 cabinets each week. We cut out the middlemen which means you are getting low factory direct pricing for a premium, high-quality product. Many of our competitors sell cabinets that are made with MDF or particle board construction and other sub-par materials. Because of the superior solid wood quality, and 25 step finish, we can offer a ‘‘Lifetime Warranty’’ on our cabinets compared with the five or ten year warranty you see elsewhere. Our cabinets are proudly designed by Solid Wood Cabinets in Pennsylvania, parts are fabricated globally, they are assembled in our Levittown, Pennsylvania factory, and are KCMA certified and Carb 2 compliant. We manufacture our cabinets to strict quality control standards. With European style hinges; dovetail drawers with soft-close, full-extension and under mount glides; 6 way adjustable hinges; stained-to-match finished interiors, metal rear ‘L’ bracket assembly, 1/2” rear hanging rail, and much more, they offer superior quality and finish. Our cabinets undergo a 25 step finishing process and are built with Grade ‘A’ plywood box construction and a solid wood door and face frame.

Very disappointed. I was told that someone will call to schedule an appointment to deliver but that never happened. After not hearing from anyone in weeks I called and they schedule an appointment. My delivery came and cabinets was discolored, damaged, not painted in areas, missing parts and doors. I called and was told it was on back order and I have not received anything yet. It’s been weeks. No one followerd up with me. On top of that they left a cabinet on the porch. Once my contractor started putting up cabinets he noticed three different area of cabinets space is either to small to fit all cabinets or to big for the cabinets to fit from the beginning to end of the wall. The space was measured by the company twice. She came out to check measurements. At this time I have no answers. No one has returned my calls and I still don’t have my missing parts. Don’t get any cabinets from here if have had read these reviews before I purchased you cabinets. I would have ran fast! But a friend recommended this place so I went off of her experience.

I’m sorry I did business with Solid…
I’m sorry I did business with Solid Wood Cabinets!
The only good part of the experience was working with their designer. After that it has been all down hill. There were issues with every wall cabinet. The interiors of the cabinets did not match. Some had a light interior others were darker. The holes for the shelf pins were different sizes some small some large and the supplied pins weren’t always the right ones. The inside of two cabinets had delaminated areas on the back panel. One small cabinet was missing holes for shelf pins on one side!
Worst part is they wouldn’t make good on all the damaged items because I installed the cabinets. They expect the buyer of their cabinets to be better qualified than their own Quality Assurance people. If you don’t spot the issues before installation you’re screwed because they won’t send replacements for installed cabinets.
I would like to see a class action suit started against these crooks.

As a contractor
As a contractor, this has been my absolute worst experience with solid wood cabinets. I originally got with them in Brick New Jersey several years ago and had an amazingly good experience. My latest project in North Jersey has been a complete disaster. Everything from not having enough material even though the computer program said we would have enough, to having wrong doors on cabinets two very poor quality Hardware with screws missing and left inside the drawer, drawers that would not line up properly, doors that would not open and close properly. When I contacted to Warehouse they said my replacement doors would be here on December 4th. It is now December 12th and I have no replacement cabinet doors wrong Style. the assembly quality has gone way down. For the quality that you're getting you would expect these cabinets to be 80% less than everyone else when in fact they are right there with other companies that deliver high-quality cabinets. Solid wood cabinets should absolutely start hiring high quality assembly people who actually care about what they do. Once there was a problem with the order phone calls have not been returned from the branch in Woodbridge which I originally did business with.

Don’t buy cabinets here!!!!
Poor quality and you will be waiting months for cabinets and doors. They charged me for the full amount for my order before I received anything from them. I wish I read the reviews before coming here. Big mistake.

We order our cabinets April 2017
We order our cabinets April 2017, we were told cabinets would arrived June 2017. Its now October 2017 and we are missing parts!!! The "customer service reps" don't even bother to call to let us know whats going on, we have to call them and that's when we find out our missing parts are yet once more delayed. We have been given 9 different dates! NINE! Will NEVER buy from this company again or refer anyone. They are quick to take thousands of dollars from you and after you paid, they completely don't care about you as a customer. Save yourself all of the aggravation and headaches and DO NOT buy from this unprofessional, unethical company.

Incomplete shipment TWICE!!!!
Incomplete shipment TWICE!!!!
Twice now they have sent me an incomplete order. Each time they left out the refrigerator side panel and without that I can't get a template for my granite. I still have to wait for it and It's pushed back by kitchen remodel at LEAST 14 days. Maybe more. And their customer service sucks. No help at all. They tell you what you want to hear and then they don't deliver (obviously).
I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemies. Solid Wood Cabinets is a horrid company.

Stay away from them!
Well, if you want to wait for all of your cabinets to be delivered over the course of 2+ months then, this is the place to purchase your cabinets. Where to begin…
My wife and I placed our order to purchase $14,000 worth of cabinets and $5,000 towards granite counter-tops back in the middle of February 2017 and was told when we are ready for the cabinets to be delivered, it will take 4 to 7 days for the cabinets to be put together and delivered. When we finally got things ready for our kitchen renovation, I put the call in and was told that the cabinets will be delivered on March 17th. The day before, I got a call and was informed that the two wine racks that were a part of my order, were on back-order and will take another 4 weeks for them to be ready and delivered.
The cabinets were delivered and overall, everything looked good but there were a couple dings, scratches, etc which I guess can be expected. I called SolidWoodCabinets and a rep (Pat – who was really the only person who seemed to know what she was doing) worked with me to replace the items that were damaged.
After a couple of weeks, I checked in with them to find out if there was any news regarding the wine racks and was informed there were no updates…a couple more weeks went by and I checked again and still nothing. Now almost a month has passed so I decided to reach out to the Manager (Mike Schroeder) at the Woodbridge store where I purchased the cabinets and it took several calls for me to actually talk with this guy (he never returned my first couple of calls). I told him what was going on and he said he will take care of the wine racks and get back to me. Little did I know that would be the last time I talked to him even though I called and left a couple of voicemail's and left a few messages with whomever picked up the phone (not Mike of course) at the store. Even emailed him a few times but got but no response. Great customer service, right?
So at this point I was able to speak with someone higher up and voiced my frustrations and concerns and was told that she would look into it. Now it is early May (a month and a half since the cabinets were delivered) and I’m still waiting on wine racks so after asking what can be done on their end to possibly get some money back, the response I get is that they don’t do refunds but she will see what they can do. A couple days went by and I get a call back and she says they will make an exception this one time by refunding me the cost of one (1) wine rack…which runs around $150. How great is that? I paid $19,000 in total and it is taking 2 months for them to complete the delivery of what I ordered but they will take care of the cost of one wine rack which is not even a 1% refund of the total order (it is actually 0.7%).
So to make a long story short (I know, too late!), I finally got the wine racks on May 26! That only took 70 days and to compensate me for that time, they gave me less than 1% back for taking so long. And I would be doing a disservice to not mention that my in-laws (who purchased cabinets at the same time I did) are having even more problems than I did…items are missing and back-ordered and they have no idea when everything will be delivered.
It I late June and to be honest I forgot about this whole situation and am just enjoying my finished kitchen but out of the blue, I get an email from Mike! He writes:
“Hi Chris, I was just looking over my notes. Did you ever receive your wine rack or an update on when to expect it? Thanks, Mike.”
The freaking nerve of this guy!!! He can’t call or email me back but was looking at his notes and was asking me if I received my wine racks. Well, let’s just say I sent him a not-so-nice reply and it was because of that email that I am writing this review. So…to end my review I can say with absolute certainty that I will never be stepping into one of their showrooms again nor will I recommend them to anyone and in fact, I will go out of my way and tell you and anyone else to stay away from this place.
Please, keep your sanity and stay away from SolidWoodCabinets.com!!
