Spark Your ResumeReviews of sparkyourresume.com

Don't waste your money. I should have listened to the "REAL" reviews, I got the cover letter, LinkedIn, and a resume package. I was able to use content from the CL and LinkedIn by adding my own tweaks to it. The resume was a joke. I asked to have it revised after I received feedback from 3 different people that it was overwhelming. I am currently sitting here trying to tweak the content because some of it doesn't make sense. It's like my writer cared more about using keywords than the actual sentence making sense. After the 5th resume was sent over, I gave up on asking as my feedback was not being heard. The main reason I paid for this service is leaving me the most disappointed and frustrated.

I have. It had any hits off my resume since getting resume constructed. The feedback that I received on my resume from recruiters were that my resume was too big and some of the information needs to be updated. I am sad that I spent a lot of money on this.

Paid for this service back in September and still haven’t had any luck with the resume or cover letter they provided. Only good thing that came of the service was that I had a resume format I could now use to create my own resume. I’d say if you are thinking of getting your resume rewritten, go somewhere else.

The timeline provided was not adhered to, it was delayed with a lack of communication. We had to reach out multiple times and the response was not customer focused. When the resume was delivered, it was off and didn't match the jobs we were targeting, and they had to revise it. Resume have been used, but no hits.

I decided to work with Spark because of Lander's energy. Unfortunately, I did not leave with the same perspective. I left with the feeling that I got what I paid for. They were a lot less expensive than other options but, in the end, I had another company redo my resume as I was not happy with what I got. It felt like as soon as Lander had closed the sale he was on to the next deal.

I did not have a great experience with Spark Your Resume, unfortunately. My initial consult with my resume writer went fine, but then the deadline for when I should've received my draft came and went. I reached out to him and he told me that he had been ill but was still working on it. Understandable - so I gave him another few days. Still nothing. So I emailed him again, this time cc-ing Marcus, the customer success manager so that I could get my (already paid for) resume and cover letter that were at that point more than a week overdue. I never heard anything from either of them. I finally called the owner and was assigned a new writer, with a cursory apology for the delay. I eventually did get my resume and cover letter, which seemed okay. However, I sent out the resume to 24 jobs and haven't received a single interview.

I was not impressed with my resume update and felt the team did not seem concerned when I expressed my own concerns about my phone # being wrong and multiple words repeated. I was not followed up with until I received this request for my review.

I still have not received my order. I am very disappointed with the service. I was told that everything would be ready by Friday.
