Speakspace is a serviceable…

Speakspace is a serviceable teleconference option with some available webconference options that, I admint, I have minimally explored. To log on to the web options requires a few account numbers and pins that may not be immediately available and require “digging”. One issue with the teleconference is that anyone can call in and use your line without the “leader pin” needed (UPDATE: I was educated that this can be set so that doesn't happen) so it may be in use by someone else when you go to use it. It would be best if the teleconferencing had a web based control panel to help you mute participants and control available functions rather than needing to know the phone codes for these functions (eg *23 to mute all, etc) (UPDATE: It can be done on web). UPDATE: Speakspace immediately reached out to me after this review was written. They provided me with some additional information and learning. Very helpful customer service reach-out. Well done!

We certainly do have a web-based interface with control panel, which provides the features you mention in your review: http://www.uccenter.com/#callmanager. Additionally, we have an excellent mobile app, which offers one-touch dialing upon set up: http://www.uccenter.com/#smartmeet. You can also print your calling card via the link on your welcome e-mail, to keep handy in your desk and/or wallet. We are happy to complete the card and e-mail it to you for printing if you would like. We will resend your welcome e-mail shortly. Additionally, I just pulled up your account and see that you have the "quick start" feature on. I recommend we change that to music on hold, to prevent anyone else from starting a call. Best practice is for each account host to have their own account anyway, in order to prevent folks from bumping into each other (rather than sharing accounts). If you could spread the word and have these individuals contact us at [email protected] or call 866-257-1425 (option 2 for sales), we'll be happy to create accounts for them! We are confident that we have the most features and easy/robust conferencing products available on the market today (both domestic & international).
