Campaign paid for on May 17 as it was a summer track and I wanted to get the promotion booked in time for the summer season. After 6 weeks of nothing and no communication or replies, I was finally told that they were working on it and it was taking a bit longer than usual. By July, the track was on ONE playlist (never went further), and still I would have to email and msg multiple times before I was told that they could not promote the track further until they had it on more playlists. I was finally told that the campaign was not panning out as normal and as a goodwill gesture they would give me another track promotion for free (Matt emailed me). I sent the second track on August 8 and have never heard from them again, despite sending emails and messages on IG. Just ignored, point blank. The track has now dropped off the one playlist. There were some streams from the playlist but the whole point of the campaign is that it is a hybrid campaign with playlists and advertising so it is 'different' from playlist campaigns, which we all know as Indies are not the wisest choice as they come with risks. I finally requested a refund by email, IG msg and by filling in the form on their website and have not heard a single peep from anyone. Nothing at all. Just ignored. I am absolutely flabbergasted to see that the website and the IG account are still active. If they had communicated with me properly from the start and stated that there were delays or issues, or had told me the song was not good enough, or not appealing to curators, I would understand. If they had admitted it was a failure and updated me and then refunded me, then I would understand, but to play with indie artist's in this way when they are fully aware that our budgets are small and our hopes are high when we put our faith and limited resources into something like this, just to be cheated, fooled and ignored is DISGUSTING. I waited a very long time to come here and write a review as I kept hoping that someone would do the right thing and get in touch with me to update me, explain to me or refund me. This company and the website should be reported for fraud and pulled down immediately. I have taken screenshots of the communication on IG as proof and have all the emails, in case they come on here and claim it is a 'competitor writing false reviews' like I have seen them do in response to other reviews. I hope other indie artists do not make the same mistake.

I'd be extremely cautious working with Spin promo. After they, Matt personally, acknowledged in writing that 1 of my campaigns fell short of their own quality standards and reassured me in writing, refund based on their own 100% money back guarantee was issued and credited back to my credit card, there's now absolute silence. No more communication, nothing. Just flat out refusal to refund my money. Another campaign that wasn't delivering what Spin thought it should and we discussed refund based on their 100% money back guarantee, used 2 bot playlists to get numbers up to avoid paying that refund. They also reassure you, they wouldn't use bot playlists. Spotify flagged my artist account for suspicious streams and banned another one of my song. Again, at this point Spin is refusing refunds they already claimed were credited back to my credit card and ceased all communications with me. Spin broke all of their own guarantees, rules and regulations, violated all of Spotify rules and regulations and then refused to issue any refunds. Beware.

Matt talks a good game but in the end just takes your hard earned money and runs. Here’s what happened. Based on my own experiences, I have to warn other artists about Spin Promo. Spin campaigns got my songs flagged, banned and my Spotify artist account marked for strikes. 2 campaigns fell short of Spin’s own standards. Matt the owner acknowledged that and based on their 100% money back guarantee, wrote in several emails, refund was issued. This was over 2 months ago. I never received any refund. The other campaign that didn’t live up to Spin’s standards was finally pushed onto 2 bot playlists in Indonesia, probably to get enough streams to avoid another refund. Spin guarantees no bot playlists. Once again no refund given. A third campaign got flagged for suspicious streams, Spotify disallowed those streams and flagged my artist account and an additional song was taken down by my distributor after Spotify notified them for suspicious activity. This is all documented by emails and Spotify data. If anyone wants proof, contact me via email. In closing working with Spin is extremely risky and you might lose everything you have already worked for as far as Spotify is concerned. Spin needs to clean up their business practices, stay away from bot playlists as they advertise and issue refunds, they themselves call 100% money back guarantees on front page of their website. Spin hasn't responded to my emails since July 9, 2025.

I ORDERED THE CORE PACKAGE FOR MY MUSIC FROM SPIN PROMO JULY 30TH AND NEVER RECEIVED AN EMAIL FOR RECEIPT NOR CONFIRMATION NOR JUST A EMAIL IN GENERAL AFTER THE 24HR THEY MENTION IN THE AFTER YOU PURCHASE A PACKAGE!! I'M VERY DISSAPOINTED BECAUSE MY CAREER IS ON THE LINE AND I TAKE THAT VERY SERIOUS.

I think they are out of business. No response to the multiple emails, no response to contact form submissions. And this business is registered to the same address as some body shop in Michigan… Stay away for now...

Like some of the other reviews on this site, I didn't get any value from Spin. On the plus side, I didn't end up on any botted playlists. The process is like this - You submit a song, and if approved, you're sent a link to a page that shows your song's campaign progress. For my song, the campaign process never got past "Pitching". I emailed, DMed Spin Promo on Instagram, and entered a "support ticket" (three times). First I asked for a refund. But the last two times I sent messages, I said "I'd like a refund, but if that's not what you're going to do, please just say so." I did get a response from Matt once, who said "Please accept our apologies for the delay with locking in placements - we're actually expecting a few to go live on this early next week (Monday / Tuesday). Will circle back then to make sure we're on track!" But after that, no more responses. I might be wrong, but it seems like Spin Promo's business is to pitch songs to established playlists run by other curators. The "approval process" is when Matt listens to a song and figures out if the curators will place it or not, and if he thinks they will, he approves it. If he's wrong, then he's done the work but has no results to show for it. In that position, I'm sure the temptation to ghost the campaign is pretty strong. This would explain why some people have success and others just get the shaft. In my case, I'm prepared to admit that my song wasn't the second coming of "Hey Jude", so if it didn't get placed, then... In short, if your song is in a somewhat more mainstream genre and doesn't have poor production values, you will probably be OK using Spin. If not, you run the risk of being "approved" and then ghosted. I rated Spin two stars just to give Matt the benefit of the doubt.

Spin Promo is an absolute total scam. The positive reviews on here must be fake, because this was my experience: I submitted my song and it was approved by Matt Moore. I got an email stating that it would take 7-14 days for the song to get placements on playlists. NOTHING happened for 4 weeks. I kept emailing Matt to see what was going on, and it was one excuse after another. Finally, in the 5th week, he placed my Americana rock song on 4 or 5 ELECTRO POP playlists that had zero songs from any well known acts that sound like me such as Jason Isbell, Jesse Welles, or Ray LaMontagne - AFTER I suggested those artists multiple times. Matt responds very slowly to emails, and when I asked for a refund he replied days later and said he would refund me - and I haven't seen one penny in over a month. I've submitted a fraudulent transaction report to my bank and they have attempted to communicate with him with no response. All of this time I was receiving sales emails from Matt, and the last one was titled "Is Playlisting a Scam?". Magically, I got no further sales emails after that. Update: Supposedly Spin Promo “immediately accepted the dispute”. This is a flat out lie. I spoke to my bank yesterday and they have not heard a word from Spin Promo after a month. Their response below is a perfect example of the complete BS they spew in order to make excuses for their delays and lies. And by the way - Spin Promo NEVER notified me that they had attempted a refund, and that the process was delayed.

1st campaign: got a decent number of streams, but then a month later 1k were deducted by Spotify and they flagged bots. I queried this with the team as they have a 'no bot promise', 1 month later + chased several times but received 0 response. I'm now raising the issue with my bank for a refund. 2nd campaign: sent hundreds of pounds, no response or updates in 7 weeks. Requested refund/update, 0 response. Contacted my bank and got a refund directly through the bank. Will be reporting this business in addition to the two refunds I am raising directly with my bank, due to the complete silence from the business. Edit: still no response to my emails on 28th May and they're now suggesting this is a fake review... my bank has already refunded one of the costs to me, and I have already been emailing their support email for *months* to no reply.
